Permanent Crème Hair Toner | Free of Animal-Derived Ingredients

I’ll start by saying that it calls for 10 volume developer but I had 20 so that’s what I used. It didn’t do anything crazy or make my hair purple which some toners have done in the past and my hair probably should have been a shade lighter to begin with but I think it did its job. It toned the warmth down but did dry my hair out quite a bit, possibly due to the wrong volume developer, however I’m happy with the results.

This isn’t my first time using Colorcharm T16 toner. I absolutely love the results that I get with this toner because it covers my grays, gives me that cool icey color while canceling out the brassiness. It also leaves my hair soft instead of dry and my hair, soft and manageable. I used to go to a salon and pay tons of money for them to try to achieve the color that I have been able to achieve on my own. They were never able to quite get me to that color to the icy color I have been looking for. love this product!!!

This toner is beautiful! So icy! Package says to use only Wella Charm 10 volume as developer. I used a 6 volume demi-developer to decrease incidents of damage, and the color was beautiful! Fun facts: if you don't have any yellow/gold tones in your hair, this toner will pull the steely grey/ash tones. If you have stubborn yellow stains in your hair that cannot be removed chemically, this will not remove them, though they will be a beautiful, shiny, pale gold. Remember that this is a level 10 toner, it does not lighten existing tones, but rather improves them. If your hair is darker than a level 9.5 or 10 (if you don't know what that is, you shouldn't be coloring your own hair), this product will have little to no effect on your hair and you'll be writing an angry review that says it does not work. Hair must be previously lightened to a level 9.5/10 (see lifted color scale) if you want a tone resembling the ad. Its not magic, it's toner. Beautiful toner.

I'm a 54 yo woman with long, fine, naturally curly 3b hair. I've been coloring it for years with Loreal Cream Permanent 9NN. My roots however, are mostly white. Not grey or silver, but very white, so even a T18 was more color than the root and I'm ready to allow the grow-out to happen. My daughter did a bleach on the mid-shaft down to get the blonde out and put an Olaplex treatment as a layer of protection. We put the toner on using 20 volume and left it a total of 40 minutes covered with a platic bag. This toner is much gentler than the liquid. It barely had a smell. I washed it with purple shampoo starting from the ends first working my way towards the roots, making sure of full saturation using cool water. I let that sit as I showered, not hurrying. After thoroughly rinsing in cool water, I gently worked a curl friendly conditioner through and finished my routine. The color came out absolutely beautiful! It's even and a true polar ice; matching my natural roots better than I could have imagined. We went to the city the next day to shop for my g-sons graduation party and I had a salon appointment for a shape-up. Everywhere we went, we were asked about my hair: whether it was my natural color or which salon I went to. My daughter was beaming as the complements came her way. She only does her and my hair as a hobby-not trained. If you're looking for a toner that's going to be gentle on your hair and come out the color you want, this is a good one. You can't hurry it, but it's worth the ending. My hair is soft and shiny. Someone asks about it everytime I go out. This toner did not work for me. I had to use a clarifying shampoo to remove it. I think I hadn’t lifted my hair to the correct level for it to achieve the toning I had anticipated. If I used my usual ion toner, my hair would have turned out fine. Just pay attention to the instructions, before using Wella Colorcharm t16, is my advice. I have used Wella toners in the past with no problems, but not this time.

t16 needs to be used on level 10 hair that has almost no yellow at all. Inside of banana peel level 10, nearly white. T16 has almost no pigment in it, it seems. I put it on my lighted highlights only and it barely changed anything. T81 did okay on my level 8/9 brassy hair underneath the highlights. They are still brassy, but not as bad. T14 did pretty good on my level 8/9 roots. It was barely orange tinted at all at the root. Nearly just yellow- except under certain lighting. T14 toned it to an ALMOST neutral color. I used vol 10 on towel dried, freshly cleaned hair (no conditioner), left on hair for 35 minutes to process. Washed out and applied deeply pigmented violet conditioner (no shampoo), coated in Anti-Snap by Redken, then hair dried. The only one out of these three that is tried and true every time is T14. The others are just not dependable results. Does anyone remember the dependability from Blond Brilliance Platinum ? That toner could tone the reds out of my BROWN hair. It was so ashy!!! I miss that brand. Where did they go?

Easy to use and mixes well. Didn't get me as platinum as I wanted but it's definitely the lightest I've gotten my hair.

I used this cream toner many times before, and I love the texture and overall result of it. However, it was not leaving my hair with the exact result I wanted (white-ish), it was leaving it more blonde than white, so I changed for the T18 Liquid Toner. However, I prefer this product and its texture over the liquid one.

This toner was the perfect shade I wanted. It worked perfectly with the 20 volume developer I used. Obsessed!

I bought this toner after hearing so many amazing things about it how it’s so gentle on the scalp. How much better the formula is on your hair and for your hair, They say it can only be used with 10 volume developer however, that just deposits the colour and provides very little lift. If you’re looking to get your hair, lighter and toned, you can absolutely use 20 developer. I realized that this wouldn’t be a good toner for me so I asked Amazon to Refund me. T16 polar ice you need to make sure that your hair is a very light yellow. Preferably a 9 to 10 level. You might be able to get results if you’re an 8 but anything lower than that this toner won’t do anything. Just a heads up because there are so many people that try and use this and are upset that they don’t get any results. If your hair is more of a dark, yellow or orange, you’ll have to go with a blue type of toner.

The product did not give desired results. In fact, it did not colour at all. I used the colour as per instructions but it did not match with the result shown on the pack colour. My hair looks the same and has not tint of the colour.

Got the brass out of the blond and looks great
