A functional addition
This was an exceptional merchant who kept me updated throughout the entire sale and delivery process. I received the product next working day and was advised by both the merchant and the courier service of day and time, to the minute. The product itself is exactly what I had been looking for. Assembly was not easy and two extra pairs of hands would have come in handy for some parts. Following the instructions, taking it steady, I was able to complete full assembly in 90 minutes on my own (and I am a pensioner with limited mobility). There is a huge mass of room for storage. One thing to note is that the display pictures on the page do not do real justice to this furniture because it really does look so much better assembled and in situ. I should point out that the display pictures also do not take into account that there are more small shelves packed if you need to use them. I did need them because my interest was CD storage rather than the display of ornaments. As with everything, there are cons but they are not major. The cd inserts down the centre of the cabinet are plastic, quite strong enough but I think metal would have been more durable. I would have liked the central section to be at least 2-3mm wider, and the divisions for the CDs in these plastic inserts to also be 1-2mm deeper. Inserting CDs is not easy because they are an almost exact fit, and it is quite difficult taking just one out. However, this is a small point and should not ever be a deal-breaker - and I am sure that over time and with use these inserts will "loosen up" somewhat. The second con I would mention is that the pre-drilled holes for the tiny screws affixing the plastic CD inserts are merely guide holes so you will need a tool to make them a little deeper to take the screws (although the screws are self-tapping, they are rather small to fiddle about with). My overall opinion is that this cabinet has been an excellent buy. Tools required - a selection of screwdrivers, an electric screwdriver for the bigger screws is a great help, a large surface to lay out the sections and assemble them, and an extra pair of hands to help out. The cons I mentioned are actually quite minor because I am really pleased with the product, it is sturdy, very heavy (even without CDs), simple assembly, clear instructions. A worthwhile buy.

Missing parts, misaligned shelving, not very sturdy and poor customer service
I bought this unit as the measurements fit an alcove I wanted to fill. The item arrived before due date which was great. I then organised a guy to assemble it, however, there were missing screws ....the guy went to access some (either his own or bought) which added extra cost of €5 to the assembling which I offered (petrol, screws, time). When assembled the left side shelving column had misaligned holes for shelves leaving the shelves crooked (a fault of manufacturing, not assembly). As it was already assembled, I did not want to return the item as it would cause further inconvenience i.e. disassembling the unit, posting it, waiting for new item and further cost for assembly etc. AND no guarantee that all pieces would be included). So I added putty to the misaligned shelves to straighten them. The seller was informed of missing screws and misaligned shelving and has agreed to forward missing screws. The item is not as sturdy as other self-assembly items I've bought e.g. Ikea, and I think it's overpriced as a result. I would not use it freestanding (mine is in an alcove which supports it). Therefore, I would not recommend this item as I do not have confidence in it, and for the lack of good customer service e.g. no generosity/ recompense on the seller's part given the inconvenience to me.

Easy to make
Ordered on Friday, and it came the next day. Everything was included, even the glue for the dowels. It took about 45 minutes to assemble, and the instructions were easy to follow. The finished article is sturdy and looks good. I'd recommend this to anyone.

CHEAP AND CHEERFUL
This is a Chinese made product made of chipboard. Very easy to put together. I had to use additional screws at the top of the unit to make it stable. The holes for the plugs were not big enough and required drilling out to make them fit.You get what you pay for. It looks and feels cheap.Would I buy it again? Probably not.

Cheap, flimsy, and incorrectly sized
This whole thing is cheap and flimsy. The shelves at the sides are too loose and don't properly lay flat. The top piece is held on only with glue so could be pulled off with surprising ease. Finally and most damning, the central column meant to hold CDs is about 1mm too tight for a standard CD case, making it literally useless. Those paper/card CD cases that are usually slightly taller have no chance at all of fitting and jamming plastic cases in here causes them to crack. Would be a nice piece of furniture if it was designed with any real care, sadly it wasn't. Not worth the money, would probably still not be worth it at half the price.

Very good value
I must admit that, when I read some of the reviews for this item I was a bit dubious whether to order one or not, well I am so glad that I did! It took me around 35 minutes to assemble and when it was I was delighted with it. You can place the shelves how you want them,it is solid and sturdy and I had no problems whatsoever with the designated CD slots, all of mine fitted perfectly(there were a few negative comments about this on the reviews). All I can say is,mine was perectly ok perhaps I was lucky? If you have quite a large CD collection and want them stored nice & tidily, then I would seriously recommend this unit.
