Looks great
On the whole I am very pleased with the item, however, I wanted to put it in our pergola outside in the garden. whilst it is advertised as being OK in the garden it is not suitable to be left out all year. According to the instructions it should be taken down during heavy rain and wind and not left out in the snow! Had I known this I probably wouldn't have bought it, but having said that it looks great in the conservatory that has no inclement weather.

The solar pad on this product works great, however...
The solar pad on this product works great, even on a cloudy day. It picks up enough light during any day to turn itself on at nightfall. However, the colour change on this product really lets it down. It’s meant to be a rainbow of changing colours, but the only two colours really visible in the dark are the blue and red.It makes it look like there’s a police car or ambulance in our garden…***I sometimes receive products free of charge, or for a discounted price, to give an honest review on Amazon and my website starstacked.com.Now that I've (hopefully) helped you making up your mind on this product, please help me by pressing 'Yes' below. If you have any further questions regarding this product, don't hesitate to leave a comment, and I will give you an answers as soon as possible!***

NOT ALL WIND SPINNERS ARE THE SAME!
I had purchased a wind spinner light from Amazon and was really pleased with the dual action of the spinning in the wind and the beautiful colours changing at night, In fact both of these actions working together have quite an hypnotic effect. I must have been hypnotised into buying two more, this time from festive lights, as Amazon had put their price up slightly. My daughter and mother-in-law rang me a couple of days after I gave them to them to say that the lights were not working. I asked them to return them to me so that I could check them out. Thinking it was something simple, I opened my in-laws one to find that the battery had fallen out of it's holder. I corrected this and tightened up the centre screw assembly which was extremely loose. It is now hanging on a small tree outside my conservatory, 'on test', beside my original one, which is turning and glowing very well as I write this. My In-laws one however does not turn well at all, due to the inferior swivel joint used and no amount of WD40 helps. The solar light however works ok although you can actually see the bulb in the middle of the globe, therefore it does not give a satisfying uniform light as my original one, bought through Amazon does. I notice that Festive lights have reduced the price on their spinner lights but I certainly would not buy them again. The Amazon ones were of much better quality and I would not hesitate to purchase from them.9th September 2013Just a quick update to say that over a year later, my light continues to shine away. If it is an overcast day, it usually stays out until the next day, when it starts up again. It also spins very well in the wind because of the excellent swivel joint used. The other two mentioned in the above review failed both light-wise and spinning and had to be dumped. So just be careful where you purchase them from.

The Item and looked good. Put it in the garden and at night the ball change colour and was nice and bright.I had it out for a week and then noticed it had rust all over it.The seller sent me a new one and said it must of been a bad production piece. Not put the new one outside yet so i will update when i have tried the new one.Update:Put the new one in the garden, been in there for few weeks no rust so farUpdate:The newer one is now full of rust, the older one no longer works think the wire snapped inside the ball.

colour changing wind spinner.(BUYER BEWARE THIS PRODUCT IS RUBBISH DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!)
AVOID THEESE SOLAR WIND SPINNERS THEY ARE POORLY MADE AND BREAK WITHIN A MONTH OF BUYING,GO SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON SOMETHING BETTER!!!!!BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE! BUYER BEWARE!apparently there sounds to be more than one type of the colour changing solar wind spinner there's one where the blades are farther apart and the ball fits through the gaps easily gets snagged and falls off or stops working then there's the one that I was lucky enough to buy with narrower closer together blades that the ball cannot fit through and the fastenings looking a bit more robust,I have just bought lots of solar lights for my back garden and out of all of them I like this the most for its brightness and the colours that it changes too as it cycles through them all, I liked it so much that I have ordered a second one unfortunately from a different supplier as where I got my original one had sold out of them which kinda speaks for itself, I just hope that I get another one like my first and not the bigger wider wind spinner.30/07/14two nights ago it started to flicker then it went out completely if you manually switched it on and off it comes back on for a short while then stops working so I have now knocked it down to one star from what I can see there is no proper seal on the central wire and when it rains as it so often does here in blighty water travels down this wire and starts to rust/short out the led bulbs, the second set I bought lasted 8 days before stopping working completely, they where even more craply made, as the wind spinning bit is bigger and does not spin much compared to the smaller set and its easy to put the globe through the spinning bit whereas with the original set you had to gently push it through the gap as it was very tight, also the sealing on the second set where the wire goes into the globe is crap and you can see rust on the inside of the globe, I am in the process of getting a replacement set off the second set seller but I do not think they will last long. I will be writing a separate review on that set later.Although I only rate the product with one star I would give a five star rating to Babz Media as when I got in contact with them about the colour changing sphere not working when I asked for a refund as they had no more to replace it one was given without question or quibble from there part so Kudos to Babz Media.Still don't waist your money buying one of these as you will be disappointed, until they work out a way of the sphere being more waterproof and a better way of it being connected to the solar charging panel.AVOID BUYING THEESE AS THEY ARE POORLY MADE AND YOUR MONEY WILL BE BETTER SPENT ELSE WHERE!!!
