Purchased this for my son's science project to grind up eggshells and dried fruit peels. It is a smooth white bowl. Light weight pestle. Both are small in size and easy to store after use. Functioned as necessary for easy crushing of the materials. Easily washed by hand.

Great for pulverizing instant coffee granules, breadcrumbs, and spices. Dishwasher safe, as far as I can tell. Doesn't seem to stain.

I wanted a mortar and pestle for my dorm to help me cook more easily. I’ve been using this to make guacamole which has been surprisingly easy. Since I’m only cooking for a single person, I think this is suitable but I wish it was a bit bigger. I can only fit half an avocado’s worth at a time but considering I CAN fit half an avocado’s worth of guacamole in this thing, I think it was worth it. It’s easy to clean and does a good job of actually crushing the food so overall, I think it’s worth it.

It’s small but exactly the size I needed. I didn’t want anything elaborate, so this fit this bill. Seems pretty solid and definitely fairly priced. It’s super cute sitting in my kitchen on top of my spice rack. If you are wanting to grind large portions, go up a size, but for crushing large pills it’s perfect for. (I can’t swallow large pills.) it’s smoothe in texture everywhere except the bottom of the grinder and bottom of the bowl. This helps to crush and grind up whatever you want to pulverize.

This works great for grinding the dogs pill so she doesn't spit it out from her food.
