I think it must smell different too because the turtles have been swimming around sniffing it before they’ll eat. Bit disappointing when you get to the bottom as its mostly powder so I reorder when I am just over half full so as I do not run out but with next day delivery there has never been a problem. Your 3 in shell will have no trouble mind are around 4inch now and they swallow it while as soon as it’s in the water , your smaller turtle will be ok , and will most likely break the larger pieces up in its jaws ..I highly recommend this stuff it’s great value and turtles love it , just don’t be tempted to put too much in"}}]}]}
