Only had this up a week and already falling apart, sisal should go right up to the top, plush covering far to flimsy, been clawed to pieces. I will have to fined something to cover the top that is more stronger and try to find some more sisal to wrap round the top have of the post.Having said all this I cannot recommend this scratch post and will not be buying another one. Far too pricey for what you get.Two very guilty looking puss cats.

This is a VERY tall cat scratch pole - but still looks great in living room. Its so big that my cats cant knock it over even when they do a running jump at it!The cats use this to scratch which has stopped them from scratching my new sofa immediately.Well worth the money.Company were great with me and item east to install.

Had this for nearly year (wanted to see how well it would wear before reviewing) and it's still going strong, with only a little wear around the sisal (I have a very large strong cat, so needed a heavy duty scratching post). Would agree with another reviewer who said the plush is brown rather than grey and although this disappointed me a bit, it wasn't enough to deduct a star.

This item arrived on time. I am hoping that it lasts a little longer than the previous one which was taller. That lasted a year. My cats seems to shred the string and then the backing so am always on the lookout for a good scratch pad. A really good idea would be if we could have them restrung as that would be ideal for recycling instead have to throw away. Still worth getting as protects my furniture.

My kitty loves it. The faux fur at the base is very soft. So far it seems durable. My princess uses it occasionally and she likes it. When she goes to the top the pole moves a bit so she feels unstable, I can tell. I believe i have assembled it correctly. Albeit I am not so strong. If there was a pom pom or something to play with sewed to the top of the pole it would have made the product near perfect. Overall it is ok.

My cat loves it, he seems to really enjoy being able to look down on me!! Only concern is that when he takes a run at it, he is a strong cat, he can knock it over and I am concerned that he might lose confidence. Guess the only solution might be to put bricks on the base but don't really want bricks in my lounge. Hes quite a show off and will sit on the top swishing his tail whenever we have visitors.

This is a BIG scratching pole. My smaller cat took to it (and the other normal sized pole I had already got them...although now looks TINY in comparison) immediately but my big cat took his time but now uses it all the time. If my sofa could thank me it would! Cats now don't use furniture to scratch. For me that's worth having such a large pole in a not so big one bed flat.

Just the job for my giant, overzealous British Shorthaired Blue!The standard size ones aren't sturdy enough for him as he is a big lad and he loves being able to take a run at this one! Would definitely recommend.
