I got these as spare because the receiver broke down during the coldest day in the winter. The emitter never had any issue and I think this emitter has been working for the past 15 years and it's still working. The receiver lasted about 8 year. This is not to say the receiver is poorly made because I noticed the corner where the receiver is located is much cooler than where the emitter is at.

They were really easy to install, and they completely corrected the problem that I was having with my garage door. With the old sensors, the door would either not close or else it would start to close and then reverse itself and open again.
