I really wanted to love this dock. At first, it felt like the perfect setup — one cable to my laptop and suddenly I had multiple 4K monitors running, super fast Ethernet, a bunch of USB ports, and even my SD cards loading faster than ever. The idea of simplifying my workspace with one clean hub? That was the dream. And for a while, it did work as advertised. But after a few months, little issues started creeping in. Random screen flickers. The dock would disconnect from everything without warning. Sometimes my laptop wouldn't charge unless I unplugged and plugged it back in several times. Even my Ethernet connection, which I chose specifically for stability, started dropping out. There were moments where I thought: “Is this just me? Is it the cable? My laptop?” But I checked everything. Updated the drivers. Swapped cables. The pattern was always the same — it worked great for a bit, and then something would break the flow. What frustrated me most wasn't the features — those are amazing on paper — but the lack of reliability. When you depend on your setup to work smoothly day after day, surprises like random disconnects or having to restart the dock multiple times a week just become unacceptable. I still think this dock has a lot of potential, especially for someone with lighter needs or for short-term use. But for me, it ended up feeling like an unstable solution for something I needed to just work. So if you’re looking for a docking station that supports a lot of monitors and ports, the Wavlink WL-UG69PD8 Pro definitely delivers… until it doesn’t.

I'm amending my original review after further review. With assistance from a friend who had the proper hardware I was able to get this docking station up and running and it appears to be doing fine. My application needed an HDMI port adapter. Not included. Though I'm satisfied with the performance so far of this docking station I still don't have much good to say about their customer service but maybe you'll be luckier than I was. What little help I did get from them was all AI crap that just sent me in circles returning me to nowhere. If they are supposed to take over the world and kill us all I don't think we're going to have much to worry about for a very long time. They may in fact drive us crazy but that's a horse of a different color.

After about a year of use, my docking station began having issues—flickering monitors, blank screens, and other display problems. Unfortunately, the warranty had already expired. Still, I decided to contact Wavlink because I had originally chosen this brand for its reputation, even though price was highest among similar products. Wavlink’s support team was very responsive and helpful. They guided me through several troubleshooting steps and suggested different test scenarios. Despite our efforts, the issues persisted over the next couple of weeks, so I sent them photos and video clips documenting the problems. Wavlink then offered to replace the unit free of charge—I only had to cover the shipping back to the seller, which I found reasonable given that the warranty had already expired. It's reassuring to know a company stands behind its products even beyond the warranty period. Because of this exceptional customer service, I’ll continue to choose Wavlink for future purchases. Highly recommended!

Bought to support 4 monitors, but will crash when I have applications actively updating on them. For example, it seems to crash when I'm in a Teams meeting AND pulling data from a web app.
