This A/C charger was ordered for my brother-in-law's Garmin "Drive Smart 50" sat nav. The A/C charger arrived within a couple of days of placing my order (excellent service from the seller).The device is working perfectly, showing a red light whilst charging, with a green light which shows (I can only guess at the moment) when the sat nav is fully charged. (Will amend my review when I have a more detailed feedback).

The charger arrived 2 days earlier than was stated which was excellent service.However ,although it was stated that it was for my Garmin. IT WAS NOT.The Garmin requires at least 1 amp in order to charge up .This charger only gives 560 milliamps.If the seller was to put the output on the advertisement, people would know this item is not compatible.therefore not waist time & money on something that has no chance of working.

Arrived earlier than expected and was well packaged. The LED showed red when I plugged it into the mains and into my satnav, but didn't change to green when it had charged the satnav. So I thought maybe it wasn't working, but when I switched my satnav on, it was fully charged. Not sure how long it took, I left it for an hour or so, and it's supposed to be a fast charger, so as long as it works I can live without the LED not changing from red to green. As long as i don't forget it and leave it on for hours I guess it won't do any harm. But for £4.99 I wasn't expecting a super duper travel charger. Only given it 4 stars because of the LED not working properly.

This does charge my Garmin Drivesmart 61, but the charging light never changes from red to green - you need to physically check the battery level. The charger seems well made and remains nice and cool while charging - even for a long time.

When I used it to power my Garmin satnav it would flicker on and off. I thought it was going damage my device. I had to stop using it.

I would give this 5 stars for delivery and service, as I had to return it. No stars for the product, as It is totally unsuitable for Garmin DriveSmart 61, it wasn’t “man” enough to charge it, infact it discharged the charge that was already in it. I wish I had taken notice of the review that said the same.

I like the fact that I can look at different routes to take at home before driving.

Very useful at home to plot a route without draining existing battery supply.
