Helix Balance Duo Two Hole Pencil Sharpener and Eraser (Assorted Colours)

Where were these well-thought-out items when I was at school?! All I remember from those days was trying to write my name on the side of a tiny pencil sharpener and the annoyance that I'd lost yet another teeny eraser somewhere. Not to mention how often these items ended up in someone else's possession!This is just so convenient - big enough to write a name on, big enough not to get buried at the bottom of the pencil case or lose so easily. Big enough to keep track of on the desk. Really convenient and practical having both the sharpener and eraser in front of you whilst working. The usual good standard of quality from Helix and a really good price. These are worth putting into a pencil case, that's for sure!

I disregarded some bad reviews to give this product a chance as I only needed it for a one off craft project so the price point was my driving factor. It surpassed all expectations, its really well made and sturdy, the rubber is high quality. Although I've seen another review where shavings fell into the rubber section staining it, I've not had that problem and it was heavily used for the one project (watercolor and leaded pencils). It is true that the shavings section is very small but that's a fair exchange for being compact.

I bought this to replace a very similar one from the same brand that had gone missing. The reason I specifically chose the same brand is because the previous one had worked perfectly. The only difference that I could see was the colouring of the case. Unfortunately, whilst the sharpener end does excactly as you'd expect, the eraser case end has tiny holes in between the sharpener compartment. The eraser gets covered in small bits of sharpenings and becomes very grubby. It drops some on a page as you rub out your mistake making more of a mess. If you take the eraser out of the compartment you get black graphite transferred onto your fingers.Wouldn't buy this again. Better off with a multisize sharpener and collection drum and a separate eraser.

Pratique et peu encombrant, ce taille crayon doublé d'une gomme fait bien son office et s'emmène partout, en cours ou autres. J'en suis très contente.
