Really pleased with product performance
I was very skeptical about buying an indoor washing line as I did not think it would be possible to buy one that could hold clothes without sagging. However, I was desperate as we have no space for a tumble dryer and had a huge laundry backlog after a wet summer. I am so glad I purchased this product as the performance has been fantastic. I have read that others have had trouble with fitting, but this was not an issue for me even though I have limited DIY skills. All that is required is to drill four holes (two on each side) at the correct distance apart specified in the instructions provided. Then you insert rawl plugs into the holes. On the side that the main holder is to be fixed to, you have to screw a metal clip to the wall, then you slide the holder over the clip (very easy) and secure it with a second screw. On the other side you screw in two hooks that hold the lines when they are extended. I had no problems following the instructions or lining up the holes and everything you need is provided except a drill. I have put my line up in my bedroom where the walls are around 3.5m apart and I am able to easily hang two full loads on the lines. The locking system is great and the lines remain taut over multiple uses. When a line has occasionally sagged it was no problem to tighten it by pulling the lines in and out a couple of times and being sure to hold the bar straight when winding them back in. There is plenty of space between the lines for the clothes to get a good airing. I hang the clothes out in the morning when I leave for work with a dehumidifier on in the room and they are always dry when I come home. In only a few weeks of using this product I have been able to tackle a six month laundry backlog (I know it was this long as I found clothes at the bottom of the bin from my honeymoon in February!) If you don't have a lot of dry days and nowhere to put a tumble dryer then definitely buy this product, it does exactly what it says on the tin and makes life so much easier!

Nice clothes dryer, easy to install & use
This is the second one of these which I have fitted, after recently moving house. Just like last time, I mounted this over the bath on the right-hand wall, with the handle facing the right, as it would be difficult to reach if it was the other way round. As before, I carefully unclipped the face plate of the end bar with a screwdriver, and turned it round so the 'Brabantia' logo was the right way up (see picture). Fixing it to the wall was not too difficult, although I used my own Rawlplugs & stainless screws, as I didn't trust the ones provided. On the right side there is a metal bracket which is screwed directly into the wall. This fits snugly over a plastic lip on the inner edge of the dryer. On the left, it secures with a long screw which goes directly through the casing. There is a bit of up & down movement before tightening so you can get it level. At the other end, I ran up against the same problem as last time, that the provided hooks wouldn't work, because the bar was now upside down! So once again, I used my own improvised J-shaped metal hooks (see picture) and I slipped a couple of plastic screw caps over the plug ends to neaten it up. So far, the hooks are holding well and seem to fit fine over the end bar. At the moment, the tension between the lines is pretty well balanced, but if they do get out of sync, it's quite easy to rectify this by pulling the lines out & letting them retract a few times. My clothes generally dry pretty quickly in the bathroom after airing for one or two days. This is a very useful product, and it's sturdy enough to take several large-ish, heavy-ish items like duvet covers, sheets & large towels. And it's great that you can retract the lines out of the way after use. The only issue I have with it, is the hook mechanism for the end-bar. They should really provide a type of hook which works either way round, as it must be a fairly common requirement to have to mount the product 'upside-down?' The face plate with the logo is easy enough to reverse, however. I'm very happy with this product, although I have knocked a star off because of the reversibility issue. I would recommend it for anyone who wants a space-saving solution to drying clothes indoors.

Worth paying that bit extra
I have used indoor washing lines for many years but I decided to pay that bit extra this year after daughter swung on the last one and needless to say broke it. This one is a lot sturdier and I like the locking mechanism which is easy to use and is effective. It was a little difficult to put up on the bracket but I liked the fact that the other side was screwed through the washing line taking the worry away will it come off. I have every confidence that this line will be longer lasting and looks a quality product. I am very happy with this item, see it as good value for money. Delivery was speedy so I am a happy bunny all round

Works well, good quality
Very good line for indoor chalet when the weather is wet. Good quality and works very well, no sagging.

Uneven tension is a let down
Reasonable quality and easy enough to install but uneven tension across the 5 lines that's impossible to fix so at least 2 of the 5 sag down much lower than the other 3.

Great for drying large sheets indoors and saving floor space
Dropped a star because the lines don’t stay taut; they droop a bit, some more than others. It does retract well and easily, and doing this initially helps the tension on the lines. I didn’t have space between two walls, and I didn’t see an option for fixing perpendicular to a wall, so I used a foldable wall bracket for securing the opposite end. I had to fix a wood plank on top with the hooks. It folds down along the wall when not needed. It seems to be working well, although I use it for mostly lightweight items and large bedsheets. I use a standing dry rack for heavier items. I’m pleased with this purchase.

Some flaws but still great
I live in a flat and don't have access to an outside line and this has made such a difference. It's compact and easily fits over my bath but the spacing of the lines is far enough apart that most of my washing drys overnight with just my extractor fan left on. I can fit almost 2 full machine loads on the lines pulled out at 2m and this takes the weight of wet jeans and towels despite the apparently thin lines. This has paid for itself and then some already in money saved on dryer use and the only fault I have is as other reviewers have pointed out, the lines over time do stretch out but they can be adjusted and don't hamper its use in anyway.

AWESOME!
My wife absolutely loves this! We only use the electric clothes dryer every once in awhile now and wow it dropped our electric bill big time! She has this setup in our master bedroom and its hardly noticeable when retracted and not in use. It's really sturdy and can be fully loaded with wet clothes with no worries.

Love my new indoor clothesline!
Arrived quickly and functions exactly as expected. I would say the only thing I don't care for is the fact that the nylon strings can be uneven in tightness. This is more a product of how they wind on the spool than anything else. I like that there is a lock mechanism that I can use to tighten the line. Overall, I am really impressed with this!!

Super Teil
