Left my cats fur super soft and smelling fresh and clean.
Both of my cats have been suffering quite badly with dandruff lately that I think it may be due to them just getting over a flea infestation. It's left their skin flaky and their coats dry and dull so I bought this Bugalugs 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner to try and pamper them a little and improve their skin and coats and it's certainly done that. Even after the first bath both cats were left with lovely clean fur that feels beautifully soft when you stroke them, they both seemed less itchy than they have been and there's far less kitty dandruff being left wherever they sit. As an added bonus they smell gorgeous. The shampoo contains coconut oil and papaya extract and has a lovely subtle fruity fragrance which lasted a few days before I could no longer smell it on my cats. According to the label it's PH balanced, Paraben free, Vegan and tested by humans which are all positives to me. It's a huge 500ml bottle which is going to last me a very long time since it dispenses from the pump easily and lathers well so I don't need to use much shampoo on each cat per bath. It rinses out easily too which is good because neither of my cats are particularly fans of having a bath, nor are they very compliant so the quicker I can get the job done the better. I would be more than happy to buy this shampoo again although due to the size of the bottle I'm probably not going to need another for quite some time.

Really good!
Believe it or not, my cat spilt curry on himself lol, and he refused to lick himself after (understandable) so i ordered this shampoo, used it and he smelt really really good, his fur went back to normal after, as he was super oily and had that wet/greasy look. completely went back puffy and dry within an or two hour of drying. He started licking himself again, rinsed out well and left fur soft and furry again!

Happy kitty
Short version: -Smells great but doesn’t last, can be seen as a good or bad thing depending on your/ your cats preference ✅ -Lathers up great and doesn’t leave suds ✅ -One pump goes a very long way✅ -Seems to be good for long fur kitties✅ -Detangling like stated✅ -Calming effect like stated✅ -Doesn’t help brush out bigger knots❌ -Product came open and leaking❌ Long version: I have a Ragamuffin. I got this because his fur gets quite greasy quite quickly due to overactive sweat glands, however his fur also gets matted if not brushed daily/ every other day if not daily so his fur is rather difficult to brush out. The shampoo itself smells delicious but i wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to use on my kitty as it’s quite overpowering, especially considering it’s a CAT shampoo and not a human one. I read the reviews on here and people have said the same kinda thing really so i believe that that’s not just me who questioned it. Anyways he usually gets showered as it’s just more convenient for me, but i thought it was a better idea bathing him to really get his undercoat submerged so i could see if this would help with his tangles like stated. I used a couple of pumps in the bath (as a precaution in case he wouldn’t let me wash or scrub him properly) , but this wasn’t necessary as 1. he tolerated the bath - which isn’t uncommon he’s quite good at bath time but doesn’t mean he’s happy about the whole process lol. And 2. The shampoo lathered up really nicely just like a normal human shampoo, if not better actually. This was great as it means you get to save on product AND you don’t have to use too much to actually wash them meaning it’s much easier on their skin as well as to wash out. That is another thing i noticed about this shampoo, after a few jugs of water there was no suds left for him to lick from himself, nor irritate his skin after. I used four pumps on his entire body. One on his back, one on his belly, one on his chest and one on his tail. In all honesty i think i went a little overboard but i didn’t use full pumps on each use as one pump goes a very long way. Jasper has very long fur with a very thick undercoat so i really tried my best to get as close to his skin as possible. I’m not entirely sure if that was the best of ideas but it’s what i did and it doesn’t seem to have irritated his skin (thankfully). After bath time i did the usual towel dry which seemed to put him in a bad mood (not surprising but he can’t stand the hair dryer). I took him downstairs with his freshened up carrier just in case he wouldn’t let me touch him. I do this every bath/ shower time as he will go literally anywhere to hide when he is wet. I sat with him in front of one of our heaters and brushed gently through his fur. It was easy enough to brush through him which i do believe was a result of this product because usually after he gets a shower etc he’s fur gets IMPOSSIBLE to brush through. I’m not sure the name of the brush but it’s not a slicker brush or a dematting brush because i’ll only use those on him once his fur is dry ,or very close to being dry, so it doesn’t tug too hard on his fur. He didn’t like this and complained the entire time to remind me of it! But that’s just him being over dramatic because this time was much simpler than past times. Before brushing him fully i left him for a bit as he seemed very unhappy with me, but he didn’t run like he usually would. Instead he sat on the sofa and ,as any cat would, began grooming himself. On first impression his fur looked fluffier, but this is bound to happen when he gets shampooed with any product not only this one in particular. The smell didn’t seem to last very long because after about an hour of his bath i couldn’t smell it on him any more, or if it was there it was extremely faint. I’m not sure if the smell was meant to linger or not but it’s not the end of the world that it didn’t, he probably appreciates that it didn’t. In the video you can see he was absolutely SLUMPED and snoring so clearly very comfortable. Id say he was happy with it. I managed to brush through him and all in all it seemed to work quite well. Although it didn’t seem to work wonders on his bigger matts, his unaffected fur seemed to brush out great. Hopefully i won’t need to bathe him again for a while as it’s not something either of us necessarily enjoy, however it’s good to know that there is something that seems to work. A downside i will add is the screw top comes undone very easily and there isn’t any part of the bottle to prevent this ,therefore when it came the bottle was unscrewed and shampoo was leaking in the packaging. I’m not sure if this was fault of the distributors or deliverers but i seem to be one of a few this has happened to so i’m guessing it’s a packaging error which should be corrected. Luckily the bottle is big so it should still last a very long while. Hope this helps :)

Strong fruity smell
Pros: foam is easy to use, just rub on and brush in. Improved coat condition slightly. No toxic ingredients. Cons: very strong fruity smell. Cat not impressed at smelling like a fruit salad.

Smells like coconut but fragrance fades. One pump warmed in my hands and massaged and combed thru my Maine coon's long hair prevents winter static.
