I bought this tape and hope that it would do the job that it was meant to do for the reason that I bought it. The reason was to do the area between the kick boards and the base of the floor where there were minute cracks enough for bugs to crawl through. I am saying that because my next door neighbor bought a mattress from a church which had bed bugs in it! Oh boy right? So his place was going to be treated by the company hired to do the job of fighting this bed bug infestation. Sidebar; do not buy a used mattress from anybody and you won't have that problem! The point of the matter now was that dog had run and now we were having to deal with the problem as it is or was. The treatment was done and I did not have a mass migration over to my place because I put that tape down and there was no bugs that got through to my place and the process of them dying as they were running away from the fumigation that was being put on them to kill their little bug asses. I was very happy about that! 🙏 I had taken the time out to put this tape on every area or wall that was on a vulnerable side of the building which would be a pathway for bugs to get through to my apartment. The tape stayed in place and has stayed in place for the 2-month period that I'm using to be sure that nothing gets true into my apartment. The other function of this tape would definitely be to be used for painting purposes and masking for all reasons that masking tape should be used. I use this masking tape to tape up the area between the kick boards and the boards on the floor and not letting anything crawl through to me and this tape has stood up and done it'sjob which made me want to at least write something about the tape being very stand up and five star for its use. It is cheap, economical, stays in place, does its job. I recommend this tape for all uses whether it is masking tape or painting purposes or trying to keep pest and critters out of a very new apartment. It has stayed in place and stands the test of time so in other words it is very durable. Sticky and stays in place until you pull it up and out. I'm just hoping that when I pull it up I don't pull the paint off the wall. The sticky part didn't fuel that sticky but what do I know? If that should change and I pull the tape up and the paint comes off I would definitely rewrite and edit this review. In the meantime this tape is five thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍

Just want you would want for masking a wall for painting. Not too sticky but sticky enough

I used this on baseboards, ceramic tiles, wood, aluminum plates between tile floors n wood or metal door and it is very adhesive and peels off well.I even used a rounded brush head and taped it to my metal pool pole to clean webs from pool screen, super adhesive. It was also repelling the water without undermining the tape integrity. After 1 hr of cleaning webs I peeled off the tape. It was taped on very well and stayed adhesive. Wow.The only surface that seemed not as adhesive was my fiberglass door because I stained it and do bi annual wax cleanings.So as long as the surface is clean n dry and not waxy you are good to go. This was a great buy for 4 rolls. It protects the areas I didn't want paint to land and it was easy to remove leaving no tape residue behind. It is easy to put down on the surface and easy to remove. It has many functions. I am very pleased with the quality of this tape.

This painters tape is fantastic for all my DIY projects! It’s easy to apply, sticks well without leaving residue, and comes off cleanly. I’ve used it for both painting and arts & crafts, and it’s worked perfectly for both. The 4-roll pack gives great value, and it’s the right width for most tasks. My only minor complaint is that the edges can sometimes peel a bit while removing, but overall, it’s a solid product and I’ll definitely be using it again!

I have worked as a painter, so I know what makes a good masking tape (and how to properly apply it, which of course is the most important thing.) I can't say this is better than a name brand tape, but it has worked fine in every respect, and I enjoyed paying less, especially since it's mainly getting used in non-painting contexts as a removable labeling or fastening tape.If you apply it to a matte surface, like unfinished paper, it may separate the paper when removed. This has not been a problem on painted or slick surfaces. There is a trade-off between adhesion and ease of removal. This is not for extra-sensitive surfaces, but for regular surfaces.

Compared to the blue tape you get at a big box home store, this tape is more adhesive and not as strong. It doesn't peel up as easy and is likely to tear when being removed. I had problems getting a crisp edge (there was leakage under the tape edge), but that may have been a problem with the substrate I was painting. However, it's two thirds the price of the big box tape, so I probably continue to use it--on some jobs.

I’m not a professional painter, just someone who needs to do small DIY projects around the house. This painter’s tape is easy to use, sticks well, and comes off clean without peeling the paint. It’s durable enough to stay in place yet removes easily when needed. I also love the sealability—whether I’m doing a small touch-up or a bigger project, this tape works great. Definitely a great buy for simple home projects!

I guess a lot of people like this tape; my guess is they aren’t using it for anything too intensive. I use masking tape to mask off areas during spray painting, and as a hold down on my cnc machine. I had my doubts about this tape leaving a nice crisp paint line (and it doesn’t) but I figured worst case I could use it for the cnc and save the expensive frog tape and 3m stuff for painting. Unfortunately- no free lunch, as they say. The ‘stickum’ is so weak that I wind up using twice as much, which makes it a bargain no longer. And these seem like really light rolls, but that’s on me for not reading the description right. I’ve ruined a couple of pieces of wood by this tape cracking loose during machining. Overall, I’d like to save the money, but it wound up costing much more than just going with the name brand. 3 stars because it’s inexpensive and functions as tape for light duty work.
