Cheap and functional
I bought this to put in an old laptop so I can sell it, these days I would go for an SSD for the speed but I wanted something cheap just to get my old laptop into a working state and this has done the job nicely. If you're not looking for fast read/write speeds that you won't go wrong with one of these, especially with it being a known brand and a good price too!

Good drive - Note to owners of older laptops: this is an Advanced Format drive
Good quality drive. Packaging from Amazon Sarl was fine. I didn't pay enough attention to the Advanced format drive issue. The laptop I was upgrading is a good few years old and running Vista. After imaging on to the new drive, I found that Windows update wouldn't work and the recovery partition from the original disk also wouldn't work. I have found a fix for the windows update issue by installing the Intel Rapid Storage Technology control and drivers. The recovery partition I believe is now redundant, so future re-builds will rely on the image I've made for this re-build.

Arrived vacuum packed in good condition and promptly 320gb good value got to replace a faulty unit in a freesat box easy swap and works well

Bad Sectors - faulty drive
After installing win 10, i noticed freezes with the HD flashing constantly on my laptop, after doing a HD surface test , it came back with over 10,000 bad sectors, after only 8% of the disk checked, clearly a faulty drive, item returned and refund issued.

Does what it's supposed to do, can't say much more.
When I was looking to buy one I read in the reviews that someone received one that had been used, I received mine I can only assume it's brand new, came in a sealed anti-static bag, popped in worked as the item was supposed to. The item came packaged in way too much packaging so if you are ordering this and expecting it to get slipped through the post slot while you are out / at work, you might want to rethink this, but this is no fault of the product, but Amazons packaging.
