Can I use this in a carpet cleaning machine for pet stains?

I would say no. This product is caustic and could damage your machine. I would strongly recommend using cleaning formulas recommended by the manufacturer. Bissel makes an amazing product specially formulated for removing pet stains.

What form? It says "solid", does that mean a fine powder? I need a food grade fine powder, is this it?

It's a food grade powder that didn't take long at all to dissolve.

Can I use this to make cold press soap? & is it Crystal form?

Yes! This is my preferred brand for cold processed soap-making! It is in crystal form - my preference - and desolves quickly. I use an ice/water ratio to reduce the smell from fumes. I highly recommend this product.
