This guy is considerably strong for his manna cost and has vigilance. Even if you have normal land producing speed and no special summoning methods, you can have him out by turn 4 and buffed by turn 6; also, he can save you from even strong token stampedes (provided they do not have trample). Good augmentations:  Magic: the Gathering - Vorel of the Hull Clade - Dragon's Maze , Magic: the Gathering - Gavony Township - Innistrad , and  Magic: the Gathering - Inexorable Tide - Scars of Mirrodin . With  Magic: the Gathering - Indestructibility (23/249) - Magic 2014  makes it a major problem...

Fantastic card! You can get a 3/5 out for only 4 mana to start with, then it's Monstrosity ability makes it the ultimate defender. Couple it with Indestructibility to make sure your opponent's creatures can't touch you.Also I ordered this card from Tales Of Adventure and I recived it a week early! 10/10 will order from them again.

I beat a lot of token decks because of this card. You can block up to 7 1/1 tokens without dying when monstrous without any enchantments. Tons of decks rely on making a LOT of tokens to limit your blockers - especially if you have too many strong creatures instead of starter cards; this card gets rid of that advantage, and it's one of a very small number of creatures with this ability (and this one is the strongest of them).

This card is an incredibly powerful defensive card with the potential to essentially improve and go on the offense, while being able to block any and all attacks with its unique ability

Perfect against opponents that like to use a lot of tokens or have a lot of creatures (with or without flying). Also, by giving him "Gift of Immortality" or a similar card/ability, you can keep bringing him back to protect you.

This card is awesome when you get it and put it out. It has already been very helpful in a few matches
