Good and strong with a nice finish.

I used these to hold my patio cover 4x4 posts in place. I used Tapcon screws to anchor and they worked fine. They look really nice and fit tight. I like them

I bought these for installing 4x4 posts for a deck railing. I had posts that were bought recently, and posts from an existing deck that I took down and was able to reuse. The older posts did somewhat fit, but it took some persuasion. The recently bought 4x4's were in no way shape or form going to fit in their current state being pressure treated within the last month. The base openings seem to be closer to <3 3/8. I didn't take the time to measure the opening because it didn't change the situation at hand. There wasn't a single base that I received that would work with a nominal 4x4. A planer will be helpful in order to install correctly.Having said that, the screws they come with are a joke. I wouldn't hang a picture with them, let alone use them for a base that's supposed to hold up a significant amount of weight. No big deal, but IMO, I wouldn't even send the hardware so people don't entertain the idea that those screws will safely secure the base.Other than that they look great. And seem to be made out of sturdy material👍🏻

Surprisingly sturdy.

I have been waiting on these a few days excited to continue my project. Had my 4x4’s prepped and ready to go only to find out that they did not fit! Even tried shaving them down some (pic attached) and still would not fit properly. Not true 4x4 brackets, point blank.
