Alphacool Ice Wing Flow Indicator Red 6-11 mm - Plexi

Alphacool make nice quality components. This was reasonably priced, it feels well made and it looks good. It's nice to be visually reassured that coolant is circulating around the system as it should be.

Bought this indicator to show whether my seal pump was working on my boat, worked a treat!

I wanted a visual indicator that water was constantly flowing for the water pump n my laser cutter as you can cause a failure in the laser tube with overheating if the water pump fails or tubes get blocked. I had a good look round at what was available; I could have got one designed for PC cooling which I am sure would have been fine but I would have then had to purchase additional fittings, I do find for such a simple basic item these are expensive for what they are but that’s not a dig at this product they are all around the same price or you can go for an all singing and dancing one far more expensive. Fitting is really simple just pushing the inlet tube to one end and outlet tube to the other, it works as it should and does the job I want it to do, I do plan to put a little LED behind it to make it more prominent but still ideal as it is. Overall does exactly what I wanted, the finishing is a bit rough and the reason I have given it four stars rather than five.

It does the job showing me there is flow rate does not look cheap would recommend .

Besonders praktisch wenn die Pumpe nicht zu hören ist. So sieht man ihre Funktion durch den Durchfluss.

looks great in my loop, I went head and bought one red and one blue for aesthetic purposes, as well as to know that my pump is working. One of the sides of the flow indicator is glued on, I'm hoping that it lasts a long while and doesn't burst open randomly and ruin my computer so I'm not sure really how long they're meant to last
