Distance: A Dark Mafia Romance (Beneath The Mask Series)

Wow what did I just read. This is the first book that I've read from Luna but it won't be my last. Girl this story just took me on the craziest rollercoaster of emotions I've read in a while and I'm dying to read what else you've got to throw at me. Loved the chemistry and instant love and attraction between sienna and Keller and I love the additional is there isn't there between maddie and greyson that I'm just dying to see if there is another book waiting for me. Again just want to say well done, I honestly know how hard it is to write a novel and to get it be gold like this doesn't come easy so big claps to you girl.

between 3.8-4 stars spice level was top notch, plot was good, setting up for a lovely easy read series. and who doesn’t love a big bulky boxer with an 11 inch willy must say i wasn’t a fan of how much the word ‘assault’ was used in this book, from a verbal assault to a punching assault to a nose assault. seems to be this writers favourite word! also i found the plot towards the end was a bit all over the place with keller and i didn’t really understand why he kept pulling away in attempt to win her back? bit strange also it’s marketed as a dark mafia romance but the mafia content is minimal :/ i feel like a few extra twists and turns would have really made this book 4.5-5 stars as the writing in parts was amazing! fun little read, excited for the next one but i don’t think it’ll be at the top of my reading list

First book from this author ( don't know why) and it was a great read. The characters were cracking together and the storyline gives the reader love, pain, sadness, battered childhoods, more love, sexy bits and friendship. Altogether a smashing combination. The author is such a good writer as I found no waste of time paragraphs or rubbish bits to eek out the text. I'm hooked, off to read more of Luna Mason books to read. Enjoy

I read this book in a week, I really enjoyed the plot but it was a bit repetitive. The sex scenes were described the same way, a bit too much for sex but it was still a very good read!

This is definitely a book worth the read. Fast paced with some insta lust and love it features Keller and Sienna who are extremely enjoyable characters. I like the mix of sports and maf!a and the overall take on it. I wouldn’t say this is a dark book but it does have a series of potential te so check them out before reading.

So this is this author’s debut I believe and I really look forward to what’s to come next. - Sports Romance - boxing - Mafia - Dual POVs - Dark themes - Spice - Insta-lust/love with a wee bit of a slow burn vibe Our two leads are Keller and Sienna. Neither of them are looking for a relationship, Sienna having just gotten out of one and Keller with too much going on. But one night she literally falls into his lap and he can’t seem to let go. Keller - My holy hotness 🥵 this man is demanding, dangerous, protective, possessive and dirty! Do I really need to say more than that? Nope, but I will. He is a pro boxer and part time mafia hitman for his brother. He is the monster his brother sets loose when all else fails, which is something Keller never does. He had a hard childhood and got in with the wrong crowd until he meets his ‘brother’ and they get taken in by a lovely older woman. He doesn’t have time or an interest for a relationship but from the moment Sienna falls into his lap he can’t get her off his mind. Her light shines on his darkness, he knows he doesn’t deserve it but damn it he wants more and want he wants he’s going to get. Sienna - I freakin’ love this woman and her personality! She is sassy, confident, kind, beautiful inside and out.. oh and she gives Keller as good as he gives. She too hasn’t had the best childhood and now she wants to help other children in similar situations to herself and Keller. Her ex cheated on her, she was hurt but quickly realised it wasn’t love. Her best friend convinced her to go out for her pre birthday and she is so embarrassed when she falls on Keller but even she can’t deny the attraction. Their attraction is undeniable, they may be hesitant but neither of them can stay away either, especially when fate keeps throwing them together. They are twin flames if I ever did see them!! He may be darkness but she has enough light to shine for them both and he has enough stubbornness to make sure it sticks. Throw in a stalking ex Secrets Dangerous situations And you got yourself a pretty damn awesome read. One thing happened where I personally thought because of Keller’s demanding and protective personality should have been done differently. I thought he would have held tighter not let go… Highly recommend and look forward to the next in this series

I’m not even sure why I had this book to read but I’m so glad I did, from their first meeting that had my laughing out loud to the middle when I cried buckets to their HEA I was all in for this. I’ve never read anything but Luna before, I was hooked from the first chapter. The characters are brought to life by the author and the story line was exciting and flowed beautifully. I read it in a day.

I’ve had this book on my kindles TBR list for months. I’m kicking myself that I haven’t read it sooner. But I’m equally gutted that it’s over. This is the perfect mix of action, angst, spice and fun. I devoured it in 5 hours. Keller is the ideal morally grey, protective alpha male MMC. He falls first for FMC Sienna who is dealing with a number of abandonment issues as well as a stalking cheating ex. She doesn’t get a knight in shining armour, she gets a dark knight who’s willing to burn the city to the ground to protect her.

All dark romance smut readers this is another book for us. Steamily hot and a mix of darkness to light romance

Loved to read this book!! The plot was good and well written, the chemistry between Keller and Sierra was amazing!! The spice is perfect, one of the good books ive read this year!!

I really love this book !! Siena and Keller are a really good combination It’s a fast read that will want to read more about them … I loved the groveling… hate when it’s too fast but was hard to read how bad both of them got with the time apart ! Maddie is the best friend that every girl needs and I can’t wait to read her book next (I have a Grayson on my head and he is hoooot … so I can’t wait for this explosion ) Keller is a complex guy that fell hard and first for the girl next door. I love that Sienna is not a legs for days, blond, tall girl … makes you love her sassy even more. The chemistry of this couple is out of charts and I love it ! It’s not a dark romance book at all but it’s a romance full with smuts (dear god those smuts 🥵), drama, HEA book that is worth the time. Avevo aspettative altissime per questo libro, ma purtroppo non sempre va tutto liscio come l’olio. Keller è un campione di box, vive nel lusso e ha tutto dalla vita. Ma non è sempre stato così: è orfano ed è cresciuto in tantissime case famiglia diverse, senza mai trovare una famiglia in cui sentirsi sentirsi a casa. Ha anche un secondo “lavoro”, che nessuno sa: Keller è l’enforcer della famiglia mafiosa italiana di New York. Il fratello acquisito Luca ne è a capo e una volta che Keller avrà pagato il suo debito verrà liberato. Sienna è forte e combattiva, ha appena scoperto che il suo ragazzo la tradiva e decide di mettere fine alla relazione, ma lui non è dello stesso avviso. Comincia così a importunare Sienna, facendole regali inquietanti e spaventandola fuori casa. Keller e Sienna si conoscono una sera in un locale, e da quel momento non riescono più a staccarsi l’uno dall’altra. Sono consapevole che questo libro è un esordio, quindi vorrei dare il beneficio del dubbio all’autrice e continuare con la serie, anche perché i protagonisti del secondo libro mi ispirano molto di più e spero la scrittrice abbia fatto tesoro delle critiche ricevute per il primo, perché su Goodreads è pieno. Questo libro avrebbe bisogno di una bella ripassata nelle mani di un editor e correttore, molti errori grammaticali e punti salienti saltati a piè pari. Un amore, raccontato in questo libro, a mio parere un po’ troppo insta, tutto troppo veloce e parecchio surreale. Non lo chiamerei nemmeno un mafia romance a tutti gli effetti, le scene effettive saranno state tre in tutto, l’azione deriva più da lui che la protegge dal suo ex che dal suo lavoro di enforcer (in cui tra l’altro è mascherato perché essendo famoso non deve essere riconosciuto) ma per il resto la mafia viene solo nominata. “Luca E’ la mafia” oookaaaay. Spero che nel suo libro venga spiegato come sia salito al potere vista la sua stessa situazione di Keller nell’infanzia. Avrei preferito più angst reale forse piuttosto che questo continuo tira e molla palesemente finto visto che si sono innamorati da subito e non vedono l’ora di passare la vita insieme. Non saprei, non lo odio ma non mi è piaciuto tantissimo. Se vi incuriosisce leggetelo, ma con le pinze.

In einen von NY‘s neusten Clubs, das „The End Zone“ genießen sie den Alkohol und die gute Musik, als Sienna unerwartet ihn trifft: Den Inhaber des „The End Zone“ und bekannten Boxer, Keller Russo. Vom ersten Augenblick an fühlen sie sich zueinander hingezogen und es ist, als würden die beiden sich schon lange kennen. Ist es für Sienna aber nach ihrer letzten Beziehung klug sich ausgerechnet auf den Boxer Keller oder aka den Killer, der für die Mafia arbeitet, einzulassen? 𝓕𝓪𝔃𝓲𝓽: Die Idee ist gut und der Schreibstil angenehm. Wer allerdings tiefgründige Handlungen bevorzugt, ist hier Fehl am Platz, dafür ist der Spice ordentlich vorhanden. Da ich das aber schon vorher wusste, hatte mich der Punkt weniger gestört - aber ich könnte mir durchaus vorstellen, dass es einigen to much sein könnte. Trotzdem fand ich die Story humorvoll, süß, unterhaltsam und zwischendurch fühlte ich auch den Mafia-Vibe. Achtung: ab hier Spoiler! Besonders toll fand ich, dass ihre Schwangerschaft gegen Ende hin nicht in den Fokus gerückt ist und nicht das „oh ich bin schwanger, alles vergeben und vergessen“ Szenario eintraf. Das hätte meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nicht gepasst. Außerdem war es schön, dass die beiden zusätzlich den kleinen Max adoptiert haben. Ihn hatte ich sofort mit seiner süßen Art ins Herz geschlossen. - - - - - Für mich war es ein gutes Buch und ich empfehle es auch weiter, wenn ihr gerne deutlich mehr smut lesen wollt.
