SolarCentre® Hadleigh Bronze Outdoor Solar Powered Hanging Solar Wall Light

Looks really nice in my garden and gives out a decorative amount of light. Came with a hanging bracket which was an additional bonus as I didn't know that it was included.

I love the style of this hanging Hadleigh Solar light from SolarCentre.It’s of metal construction, powder coated. It looks more grey to me than bronze, in fact it looks the same colour as the product photos – grey – so hopefully I’ve not gone colour blind.It comes nicely packaged with a hanging bracket, plugs and screws, and has a filament style bulb. It looks like a quality product.So, there I was walking gleefully up the garden path holding my new Hadleigh solar light and then the handle fell off and the lamp hit the path, luckily surviving only with a couple of marks – so build quality wise (apart from the handle) it is pretty solid. The handle went back in OK.It gives off a decorative light, it isn’t the brightest but you have to balance this out with the look and style of the lamp – this is far different to your usual plastic solar lights.I’m going to go with four stars.

Solar lantern5 stars, good quality lightWhat's in the box?1 x solar lantern1 x wall bracket2 x screws, 2 x wall plugsInstructionsThis is a lovely quality solar lantern, really adds a touch of class for a good price.It's packed well inside a cardboard box, comes well protected and already assembled.One word of warning, as I opened the box and started to remove the contents, the screws fell out of the little bag they were in as it wasn't done up properly, not a major issue but could be annoying if you lost one and hadn't got a spare handy.The lantern is solid metal with a glass shade, so really lovely quality! It contains a full sized LED bulb, as opposed to tiny LEDS, which adds to the gorgeous vintage effect.The solar panel is on top of the lamp, and you just need to remove the plastic protective sticker from that bit. Then you need to turn the lamp ON so its ready to charge once you put it outside.To do this you need to twist the top of the lamp, and the switch is on the underside of that. There's an ON setting, and an ON WITH POWER SAVING setting, which will give you a dimmer light but lasts longer, recommended for winter months when we have less daylight to charge it. I think this is a great idea, not many solar lamps incorporate this in my experience.There's a handle to hang it up, we already had a bracket in mind that we wanted to use, already on the wall, but there's one included in the box in case you haven't already got one, which is a nice touch.I put the lantern outside at about 5pm after it arrived, it was a dullish day so I wasn't expecting much to be honest, but sure enough as soon as it got dusky the lantern lit up!This light is perfect by our front door, as a guiding light rather than a very bright light. If you're looking for security kind of brightness this isn't the lamp for you, but just as a regular garden/ door light it's perfect.So I've given 5 stars as it's attractive, well made, good quality, and a lovely stylish addition to our garden.

This Hadleigh solar wall light brings a touch of old-world charm to my porch. The bronze finish and glass shade create a lovely lantern effect, and the warm white LED provides a subtle glow. It seems very well-made with a solid metal construction, perfect for withstanding the elements (it even has an IP55 weatherproof rating!).Installation was a breeze, and the automatic dusk-to-dawn sensor adds convenience. I especially appreciate the optional power-saving mode, perfect for those shorter winter days. Overall, a great solar light that adds both style and function to my outdoor space.

Avoid

I ordered this lantern to hang outside the front door, as we have no power supply out there, but we could do with some additional lighting.It was smaller than I visualised, but it's perfect for where I needed it to go, as it's also lightweight. It throws out sufficient light to light the area around the door, without being so bright that it becomes annoying.It's very easy to set up, and although it comes with a hook to attach to a wall or wherever you want it, I didn't need to use that.Overall it seems well made, it looks nice and it works really well, it doesn't seem to need a huge amount of sunshine to work that night, so I'm hopeful it will continue lighting in winter too, I'm very pleased with it, and happy to recommend it.
