Lovely, clean coffee- especially with paper filter added. Only problem is the cork belt position means you can’t tell if it’s filled. Just got to guess, practice will help. A clear heatproof belt would have been much more practical- probably less attractive though?

Using a well-designed object is a joy and a pleasure to use. When something is well-designed, we don’t tend to notice because it just works. This is one of those objects. The design is wonderful. Someone thought about what would make a good pot for drip coffee, and then they made one. The bowl shape at the bottom is genius. When coffee is poured, the pot is horizontal and the fine grounds, those that make it through the filter, sink to the bottom of the bowl when you pour. They don’t end up in your cup. That’s all. No tricks. Just using gravity to make coffee better. The filter doesn’t clog. It works fast. I like making coffee one or two cups at a time. This is what it’s designed for. The removable cork is pleasing, and not fiddly to use. The pot is easy to clean. But the real genius here is the shape of the bowl. It just works.

Stunning aesthic and design. Puts beauty at the centre of the morning ritual. As your hands grasp the glass coffee carafe, one almost feels a sense of brewing coffee science. I sadly flipped mine out of the window as a tea plate sized spider camouflaged on the cork jacket scared the living daylights out of me. I truly felt the absense of this product in my life more than than some men I have loved and lost.

Was expecting it to be bigger but happy with it, suitable for 1 to 2 cups of coffee Easy to use and clean Suits the purpose.

I am very happy with this coffee maker, using it every day. A key design element was the washable/re-usable filter. In practice though the mesh is not fine enough, and the coffee is distinctly cloudy as a result. This is easily remedied by placing a regular paper filter inside or below (as you prefer) the plastic one supplied. This has the added benefit of keeping the hot water on the coffee for a little longer, for a stronger/richer brew. Otherwise, the size is great for one big mug (500ml), or two regular cups. Looks good & handles nicely. Cleaning is easy enough. - - - Bought at £19.20, with free Prime delivery. Item was delivered on-time, as-described, and suitably packaged.

So there is a trick to how to make good coffee using this pour over filter coffee pot. And it’s quite simple. You put the coffee grounds in the top filter. Then you press it down. Gently though. You don’t wanna break the thing. Then when the coffee grounds are likely compacted start pouring boiled water directly over the top of the coffee grounds very slowly. You’ll see the coffee grounds soak up the water and should now form a foam over the top of the grounds you can start to pour the boiled water faster into the filter now and this will slowly drip through to the coffee pot below. Once you’ve done this let it settle for about a minute then pour out and enjoy the coffee. for those that I found it produces weak coffee this is probably because you’re pouring the boiled water of a very loose coffee grounds far too quickly. So you’re ending up drinking basically hot water tinged with a taste of coffee. Take your time! I mean it. It might take you nearly a whole minute to pour the water into the filter. Or longer. It’s worth it don’t rush. Enjoy.

Though advertising says it doesn't need filter, you may be interested in purchasing some. If you don't use a paper filter, some of your ground coffee will flow through the metal sieve. However, it is ease to prepare your coffee, easy to clean and pretty elegant if you keep it beside your working station (as I do).

L'estetica di questa "macchinetta del caffè" è meravigliosa ed è quello che più mi ha spinto a prenderla. Oltre ad un prezzo decisamente accettabile ed il paio di accessori di cui è dotata. Arriva corredata di copertura in sughero, filtro da appoggiare sopra riutilizzabile, dosatore per il caffè, tappo. Il sugero è resistente ed una volta versata l'acqua protegge le mani dalle scottature, è chiaramente sfilabile in modo da poter inserire la boccia di vetro il lavastoviglie: si slaccia il filo e si sfila per poi rimetterlo una volta che il vetro è asciutto. il filtro riutilizzabile può essere tenuto sia con che senza filtri di carta ma la pulizia è veramente facile e veloce che abbiamo deciso di no comprare i filtri in carta (rispetto ad orziere od altre metodologie di caffè), viene riempito e svuotato in un attimo. Abbiamo questa dimensione ridotta in quanto beviamo poco caffè ma devo dire che è veramente veloce come preparazione ed anche come pulizia. il Vetro non è spessissimo come sono abituata per altre tazze contenitore ma devo dire che è ben formata e per il momento (due settimane) stà reggendo parecchio bene. E' decisamente molto elegante e di bell'aspetto anche da lasciare a vista sul bancone sia vuota che piena, fà veramente la sua figura.

Top, une fois supprimé le liège qui n’apporte rien pour moi ( visuellement cheap ). Cette petite carafe de 500 ml est très jolie, proportion différente des Chemex et autres clones, il y a une signature BODUM ( rondouillarde ). J’ai eu la chance de recevoir un modèle avec filtre inox sans plastique façon infuseur thé, et les petits filtres Kalita Wave vont pile dessus, le rinçage du filtre permet un préchauffage de la carafe. Les Pour Over sont très réussis. La carafe tient au chaud sans risque sur les plaques induction Barista. ( Bec verseur pas aussi précis que HARIO V60 Range Server ou clones ).

Heel blij met de chemex (het glazen potje), mooi design. Het bijgeleverde filter filtert helaas niet voldoende en er komt klein gruis in de koffie. Dit kan ook ongezond zijn. Ik heb het filter vervangen met katoenen koffiefilterzakjes om alsnog duurzaam te blijven, aanrader.
