We use audiobooks in the car for my 16 month old as a way to calm her down if she's getting stroppy/hungry/bored and this is a great one!! Mr Tenant surprised me at how good his story telling is. The use of props/sound effects is just right as well without too many crashes and bangs but it's honestly the best one we've had for ages!!

Bought this for my twin girls who like to listen to stories at bed time. They enjoy following the story with the book. Great to listen to David Tennant's voice too!

I looked everywhere for this version (read by David Tennant) and am delighted that this came into stock. I was kept informed of when it may do so (when I ordered it, it stated that it would be a while) and it ended up arriving before Christmas, which was a bonus as the estimated stock arrival date was further on. Wonderful stories, read in a charming way by one of our current great character actors. Great value for money and a "fab find".

Loved this as a nursery teacher, my children loved this little chap and now my grandaughter and who better to read it in dialect but the lovely David Tennant . Highly recommend the bouncy flow of the stories that flow with the different dogs and that scary Scarface Claw. Good for any time, bedtime, car journeys etc. Great and traditional.Amazon delivered promptly also.

We all loved it. It rhymes all the way through. David Tennant is very good.My young one (4) found it a bit hard to follow, as you need a bit of concentration, but still very funny.Few background noises to enhance the story, to make it real.

As all of these Hairy Maclary stories a joy to listen to and to read. Just the right length, funny and with Lynley Dodds ability to write super rhyming text. Combined with a great use of language that stretches the vocabulary and understanding of even the youngest fan. Brilliant.

3 year old grandson loves listening to this in car. Loves reading the books at home. It's an excellent cd and seller delivery first class
