Disappointed Sleeper
Update: 8-26-18: It is now almost 9 months since we purchased this mattress, set it up and have been sleeping on it. I am downgrading it again to 3 stars because I am afraid we might be replacing the mattress before one year is up. It is really soft now and I find that the mattress is now sagging on both sides of the bed and causing back discomfort for both my husband and I. I expected more from this mattress and am disappointed that it is not holding up as I thought it might. And we continue to rotate it. I understand that there is a 20 year warranty, but unfortunately, the cost to return this mattress is on the buyer and I suspect it will cost just as much to return it as what we paid for it, just under $500. So my designation went from Happy Sleeper to Disappointed Sleeper. And yes, the mattress is a budget mattress so I will keep this in mind on our next mattress purchase.Update: 7-20-18: So we have had the mattress now for almost 8 months. The verdict: The mattress is not quite holding up as I would have hoped. I wish I would have purchased a "very firm" because the mattress is getting softer over time and I do not know if this is expected from these foam mattresses or not. I like a medium to firm mattress but I am afraid in several more months, it is going to be too soft and start to bother my back. My husband weighs over 200 lbs and I am afraid his side of the mattress is holding up less than my side; I weigh in at 120 lbs. And oh, I have been rotating our King size mattress on a regular basis, at least every 4 weeks and sometimes that is just a 90 degree turn instead of the 180. But the 90 degree works even though the mattress hangs over a little on each side of the bed when placed this way. Next turn is 90 degrees again and puts the bottom part of the mattress at the head and vice versa.I will still stand by my initial review but wanted to post an update now that we have slept on it for close to 7 months. But I have gone from 5 star to 4.So far this mattress has met my expectations. This is the first time my husband and I have purchased a memory foam mattress so I was a little apprehensive before buying it and worried that we might not like it or get a restful nights sleep. As it turns out, I am pleasantly surprised after 3 nights of sleeping on it. I did do a lot of research and read many reviews on different memory foam mattresses before making a decision to buy this mattress. Further, it got a little overwhelming at times because it is somewhat subjective as far as what someone finds to be a soft versus firm, etc. For me, I sleep better with a firm mattress and as for this mattress, I am finding this to be a medium firm, perhaps a 7 out of 10 with 10 being the firmest. I am also a side sleeper as well as a back sleeper so I was worried that a mattress too firm would not be ideal for my side sleeping. So far this mattress has worked for me and my husband who is also a side and back sleeper.I was also a little leery about purchasing this particular mattress, the Resort Classic 12 inch King size Cooling Medium Firm Memory foam mattress because there were no reviews. However, Live and Sleep had sold many of the 10 inch mattresses, also the Resort Classic, so I took a chance with the 12 inch and I am glad that I did. Overall I am happy with the purchase especially after doing so much research which gets confusing after a while. If you are a side sleeper or back sleeper, this mattress might work for you providing you like a medium firm mattress. And as far as smell, there was little of that, if any. As far as heat, so far there has been no issue with this mattress sleeping hot.Lastly, this mattress has a 20 year warranty although the warranty information did not come with the mattress when it was shipped. However, I quickly contacted Live & Sleep and they promptly sent me a copy which basically covers any defects found in the product. Of note, the purchaser is responsible for returning the mattress.Overall, I am a happy sleeper! And especially since the cost of this mattress is so reasonable compared to the last innerspring mattress we purchased which lasted 1 whole year before we could not tolerate the sagging any longer.

Comfort and Love
One day while mattress hunting, I received notification of a lightning deal on this mattress. I knew it might be risky to purchase a mattress on Amazon without trying it out in person first, but I felt confident in the reviews. This mattress had so many positive reviews, it was insanely affordable, and it was Prime shipping. I’m so glad I took the risk because it was worth every penny! The mattress came rolled up in a box the size of a bench one might have in an entry way or at the end of a bed. Once we set it on top of it’s frame and unwrapped it, the bed grew to it’s normal size. It came with a free pillow too! (I also loved the pillow so much I bought I second!) it’s recommended to wait at least 24hrs before sleeping on the mattress, but we waited about 4. We didn’t have much of an option since the king replaced our full size mattress. The bed was still great to sleep on! The edges still needed time to develop, but the core of the bed was perfect. There was no problem sleeping on this mattress early. By the time I came home from work the following day, the edges were sturdy and the bed was fully formed. This bed is equal parts firm and soft. You’re not going to sink into the mattress, but you’re also not sleeping on a rock. It’s just right! Sometimes I jump onto the bed and it’s just like jumping into something cozy that is catching you!I also have a tendency to move around a lot before I completely go to sleep. Now my husband can barely feel my movement which is a win win for both of us!I honestly can’t sing the praises of this mattress enough. It is everything I hoped for at an amazing price!

Give this mattress time!!!
Honestly when I first unpackaged this mattress I was extremely worried and a little disappointed because I sat down on it and it felt so soft that I sank right into it. I have back problems and I NEED a firm mattress but I was going to deal with it for the time being because it was a really good bargain. Luckily I put my bed up a week before I officially moved into my new apartment. The first night I actually spent the night in my bed it was like heaven. My curves and joints felt supported and it was medium-firm like I expected it to be. If you are purchasing this mattress give it time before you get disappointed in the way it feels. This mattress is amazing and cheap!!! Also it doesn't have a chemical smell like some memory foam does. The only slightly negative thing I can say about this is that it is not cooling memory foam so it can get hot at times. I just put some cooling sheets on it and it helped with that issue. I am completely happy with my purchase and would recommend this mattress to people with back pain, hip pain, and pregnancy.

No complaints other than strong
Mattress arrived on 12/14 (Monday). My girlfriend opened the box and pulled out the mattress. She called me from the car with our dog saying she had to evacuate the house due to the strong odor. I thought she was exaggerating. When I got home from work later that day the bedroom door was closed and a towel stuffed under the door to keep the odor contained. I opened the door and sure enough the odor was very strong and I don't have a sensitive nose. This was even with the bedroom windows opened. We carried the mattress to the garage and left it in until Wednesday night - the garage still had the odor. Brought the mattress in and put in on the new adjustable bedframe and the odor is still there but not as strong. Today 12/20 ( Thursday) a friend stopped by and asked what was the strange odor so it's still here circulating through the house but maybe I'm just used to it. Tonight as I type this I can smell the odor on my clothes and that's with the enclosed mattress with cover - sheets and comforter and still the Odor is on my clothes.I never owned one of these memory foam mattresses and not sure what to expect but for the people leaving reviews that there was no odor - you need to get your nose checked out cause it must be broke. Other than the odor the mattress works for me - hopefully one day I wont smell like memory foam.*** Update 12/21 - After reading more reviews for this mattress I found a few that mentioned the enclosed pillow took weeks to dissipate the odor. I removed the pillow from the bedroom and checked for odors and the room odor is gone. So it is definitely the pillow that is the culprit. Back into the garage with it for now. I wonder if the reviews that say no odor came without the pillow.*** Update - I still smell a slight odor on my body when I get off the mattress - my dog smells also - when I leave the room for a while and come back in I notice the odor. If this odor does not go away soon I will toss it in the trash and eat the cost. I'm starting to question some of these positive reviews and I don't see a company rep on here responding.*** Update 1/10/2019 - Still have odor and can smell it on my clothes***Update 1/13/2019 - Clothes and dog smell like foam mattress***Last Update - Returning for refund. Everything that comes in contact smells like whatever chemicals are in the mattress my skin - my dog - my clothes etc ..after 1 month - not acceptable.

Good for Some People, Not For Others
Arrived on time. The box was damaged, but that didn't affect the product. Note that the box is very heavy as advertised and as some others have mentioned, but my husband was able to bring it up the stairs to our guest bedroom. It expanded to its full size which was cool to watch. Note that there are still a few, "wrinkles" on the side where it looked like it was supposed to expand more and become fuller. I slept on it the first night as I wanted to 'test' it before I had 4th of July guests, and I was fine with it. I am a person that can sleep almost anywhere, even on a couch, and be fine. Note that I am very small and weigh about 100 pounds. For me, I could sleep on this every night - nothing great, nothing bad. Next, my out of town guests visited for 3 nights. They are of average size and marathon runners and liked it, but the mattress kept falling thru the slats of the bed so we heard a 'crash' as part of the bed poked and then fell thru the slats onto the floor beneath the bed...and yes, the bed had all the right number of slats for its platform. 2nd night, we added more slats..by husband and his brother actually got out a saw and cut more 1 by 4 slats to give the bed extra platform. It wasn't enough and the 3rd night, we heard the crash in the night again. My guests just took the mattress off the slats and laid it next to the bed on the floor and that was fine for the last night of their visit. My husband slept on it the 5th night to test it. He didn't care for it. He felt is was difficult to get up and out of the mattress as it squished down/sinks where you laid. My husband is 5'8" and 175 pounds and felt it was like getting out of quick sand. This week, I finally went out and bought box springs for it so it wouldn't poke thru or fall thru anymore. With the price of this mattress NOT being a real bargain (I paid more due to many positive reviews) at $339 for the queen size and now I had to spend an extra $125 on box springs for a total of about $500, I paid as much as if I had just gone to a middle of the road store and gotten a basic set of traditional mattresses. If this mattress was half its price, it would be ok and despite the issues, I could have rated this higher, but I always look at value - price you pay for what you get, and I just think this mattress is a temporary solution that appeals to a limited number of people. A 'junk mattress' of sort you can have as a backup for guests for a few nights. Beware of the surface its going on too. That's just our experience after 10 days. I'm glad others on here seem to love theirs, but I'm dissapointed.
