Hello everyone, I quit caffeine a few months back, then I stupidly went back. It was pure choice of wanting to try the Ghost Energy Cherry Limeade, which is damn good I must say. That brought my body back into the cycle of caffeine. I was trailing down my caffeine intake and figured it was worth a shot to switch over to a case of Update to see if that helps me quit. I realize there is a chance I then have a dependency on Update, but I’m running a little lab here. July 4th was the first day (3rd can of Update) that I consumed no caffeine. The day went totally fine, no caffeine withdrawal at all. I did only get four hours of sleep, and it is a holiday, so I am drinking a second update just to keep alert to drive. So far, I can say the berry Update has a light, pleasant taste. It doesn’t smash you in the mouth with flavor like some companies do, but I prefer this more light, refreshing blend. The actual enhancements you get off Update are quite accurate so far from the description. I do not get overly energetic, sometimes antsy, or amped up as I would with a Kickstart, Ghost Energy, Redbull, etc. I would describe it as a *clean energy*. That’s what it feels like. A nootropic just boosting your mental alertness. (*new paragraph of review here, apologies for not updating for weeks*) I experienced no withdrawal or comedown of weird feelings. Update allowed me to quit caffeine by drinking it (with the paraxanthine) long enough to help my system. Mileage may vary depending on each of our unique systems, I would totally recommend anyone to try these. They are more expensive, but if you feel your body doesn’t react well to caffeine like mine (example: I didn’t start grinding my teeth at night during sleep until I started to be a regular caffeine consumer), it’s worth the cost to see if you like them. My plan now is to buy a case and have it in the fridge on days I really need a pick me up. So many of us start drinking energy drinks every other day, daily, or even more frequently. It’s not healthy, this is a better alternative unless proven scientifically otherwise.

If I could afford to drink two of these every day I would. Paraxanthine is proving to be amazing for my specific biochemistry. Part of me loves caffiene but it makes me a nervous jittery wreck. These drinks are great, even drinking 4 of them the energy felt consistent and more relaxed with way less anxiety and jitters. I find the taste (I got berry flavor) has a slight bitterness similar to cough syrup, which I did not mind at all (I love cough syrup) but might be offputting to the less tolerant. I'm definitely going to buy more...

My absolute most favorite energy drink that has disappointed for my last 4 months hopefully they’ll be back in stock as I heard they’re making improvements and new flavors but they better not lose the berry or they will lose a major customer. Need to lower the price though…

The old recipe was much better. Now they’ve changed to add more sweetness and it’s just too sweet now. One of the reasons I loved Update was because it wasn’t sweet like other brands. Otherwise a great energy drink with out the crash!

Taste is not too bad. Boost in energy is good, not like caffeine but also not jittery side effects or crashes. Use occasionally.

Horrible taste - like all chemicals, ended up dumping them all out. Hope I didn't kill any sewer animals.

Two major events in my life: getting off adderall and now getting off needing coffee. Thanks to update I was able to do the later. I’m someone prioritizes effects and nutrition over taste. And the effects of update are top notch. I’ll say the first time I tried it I was on a gut cleanse and protocol with no processed food or sugar. I think when you clean out the junk and get these kinds of supplements your energy is going to increase. From that cleanse I haven’t stopped drinking update. I have about 2 a day and I don’t have any crashes in the afternoon and I sleep great. My focus is awesome. It’s not too intense like adderrall but it’s not too minimal to notice like coffee becomes after years. I’m in love with the product. Do your research on the team, they’ve got an incredible formula, and it’s like nothing else on the market I’m in Texas and they’re in store here at central market just in case I ever run out. Grateful for this drink!

Loved the original flavor with the original can. Paraxanthine seems to work really well on me. Two stars for the newest order I received because THEY CHANGED THE RECIPIE! Now this tastes like the most vile indescribable thing I can image. It has a very strong grapefruit flavor, which is very concerning to me because I have to be avoiding grapefruit so it doesn't intervere with medications. So if they're secretely putting grapefruit in this and not reflecting that on the label, then I've literially put my health at risk by trusting this company. The original recipie was good. Tasted a little bit like a medicine flavor, but I like that actually, and it doesn't alarm me that there might be secrect grapefruit involved.
