Does exactly what you want it to. Even when I was sweating profusely in 100° weather, it held. With just a dime sized daub needed, it will last a few time, so you get excellent value for the money.

I saw this hair product while scrolling Amazon for gel to purchase when I came across this hair gel and it caught my eye because I use a beard oil that has the word "Viking" in it, so after reading some reviews I decided to get it and WOW!!!!!! I'm so stoked that I got this hair get because not only does it smell terrific it holds and is solid all day long without having to use more, plus if for any reason I mess it up little I just wer my hands and run it through my hair and it softens up then dries solid all over again...If I could give 10 stars I would, now I want I'm excited to try the beard products!!!💪🏻💪🏻

Gel works great and doesn't look cakey or flakey in hair. Very sticky and dries quickly. It smells very well. Doesn't last all day but I use it in my boys hair before school and by the end of the day their hair is wild. Worth the money.

I love this gel! I used to by the Sexy brand which costs 4x the price. Switched to this 2 years ago and haven’t gone back since. Holds well and is easy to apply!

Smells awful

A great, much cheaper hair gel. Before this we always bought the “sexy hair” brand. For the price you get a giant tube and the hair holds. Great stuff!

I’ve used a competitor brand for many, many years and even though it became increasingly expensive, I kept using it. Then I noticed this Viking brand Hair Gel and took a chance it might work just as well. Boy was I surprised and very pleased. Not only does it hold all day it has a fresh fragrance and stays pliable longer in my hand as I style my hair. I love this product. Even though it sparkles right out of the tube it doesn’t sparkle in my hair. Dries quickly once applied to my hair. I know the product is for men but it works wonderfully for women as well. Thanks for such a great product at a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

In my quest to find a hair gel that works as well as Sexy Hair’s “Hard Up”, yet is more economical, I have bought and tried several. As I’ve discovered, nothing quite performs as well, smells as subtle, or lasts throughout the day quite like the Hard Up. It perfectly-sets my short, spiky, (female) hair into fabulous hairstyles that last 24 hours, with no annoying smells, rich dyes, or flaking. After Sexy Hair began charging far too much for their product, I started using Gorilla Snot. That stuff worked almost as well. It had some varying levels of hold available, and required adding a bit of water to it (because it was so thick and sticky), or waiting longer for it to dry — never as perfect as the Hard Up. After about five years of using of the Gorilla Snot, the manufacturer decided to change their labeling AND changed the scents/colors of their gels, too. The scents are now just too weird for me to bear and the additional dyes they’ve added, cause my hair to turn red or blue (depending on which I choose to use that day). Not to mention what those extra red/blue dyes have done to my towels!!! Anyway, I’m back on my journey to find a cheaper alternative to the Hard Up hair gel… As I absolutely LOVE Viking’s Tea Tree body wash, I thought I’d give this product a try; I gave it a fair shot…used it for a week Although it’s marketed as a hair gel for men, I really didn’t care, so long as it lived-up to my hair gel requirements. Sadly, it did NOT! First off, the smell: OMG! If you can imagine walking into a room where many people have sprayed themselves with all different ‘flavors’ of the cheap-smelling, headache-inducing AXE body spray (or similar) — with NONE of those scents resembling anything found in Nature — and THEN, envision that same stench applied to the top of your head — so close to your nose — ALL DAY LONG. It’s just overwhelming! (No, thanks…not gonna do it again). Secondly, this stuff is kind of on the wet side and takes seemingly FOREVER to dry/set and it is NOT a super-strong hold. Lastly, the flip cap is extremely difficult to pry open. The only things I liked about it were the classy, outer-packaging and the subtle, glittery flecks in the gel. (Not that I noticed them in my hair, but only because I thought they looked cool when I squeezed-out some gel into my palm). Besides the TT body wash, I have purchased three other products from Viking: this hair gel; a tea tree nail treatment/oil; and an ingrown-hair preventer/spray. The last three being either too stinky, ineffective, or both. I’m done buying and trying anything else from them beyond their wonderful body wash. UPDATE: Kudos to this company for caring about their customers’ feedback and reaching out. Although the three products above didn’t work for ME, they were very understanding and helpful.

Med hold which is what I wanted. Very little of the product required to get the results of styled hair.

Good hold but not as strong hold as Sexy Hair. If Sexy Hair is a 10 for firm/hold this is probably a 7 or 8. Does the job and does have a fresh smell to it, also noticed there are some sparkles in the gel but not noticeable when applied to hair.

On a positive note it has a pleasant scent. Howver, they have some ingredients that when i looked them up i was not comfortable with. I returned the item.
