It works. Read the description first.
I read some reviews on this key fob. Some said it didnt work and not to buy it and taking it to the dealer did t make it work either. They should read the product description better. It literally says dont take the key fob to the dealership. You have to call an auto locksmith to come out and program the key fob to your car. I received my 2 key fob yesterday and today the auto locksmith came out and programed both key fob and cut the keys as well. Everything worked great. Able to open the ruck and lock and unlock thw car and use the key from the new key fob to start the car. This product works if you read the description and make sure the key fob is compatible with your vehicle. Great price and good quality.

Value for the money
Had them cut and programmed by a locksmith that had the right equipment to program keys for a 2012 beetle. Saved hundreds over the dealership. Only downside is that all of the buttons function intermittently. Sometimes they work, other times they don't, but the ability to start and drive the car works every time, so that's worth saving the extra money when you're just getting them for spare keys. I bought 2 and 1 of them didn't program correctly. I returned it and a replacement was sent immediately at no extra charge. Completely happy, just wish the buttons worked all of the time. However, I would buy again, and recommend as a much cheaper way of getting a spare key!
