I bought this watch for its large face and large numbers so that I could see the time in the dark as i now need reading glasses. I needed a watch with an alarm and took it on a 4m expedition to Costa Rica where it was subjected to a 16 day trek with intense heat and sweat, white water rafting and swimming in rivers, working on a building site etc .etc.. I never took the watch off and washed and slept with it on. It did everything it said on the tin and I like it so much I am still wearing it after getting home. I am very impressed with it. Just a little note of caution - one of my fellow trekkers had the same watch and unfortunately the watch strap broke as he caught it in the straps whilst putting his rucksack on. I think that was purely bad luck.

This is my second CakCity watch, identical to the first which I purchased in January 2019. That watch was impressive both in appearance, reliability and almost "Atomic Clock-like" accuracy. About mid-October this year, the rubber strap failed, no doubt because it had been repeatedly done and undone by me every day. I asked Amazon whether they or CakCity could supply a replacement strap. In reply, I had a most apologetic e-mail from CakCity accepting full responsibility for my "disappointment and distress" and directing Amazon to supply me with a replacement watch, which Amazon did, with no arguments or quibbles, just a payment of 30p to cover the price increase since my original purchase. Now, that's what I call service "par excellence". If only UK suppliers would adopt that level of customer care!! P.S. The original watch still works perfectly and I'm still trying to source a suitable replacement strap which doesn't cost more than the watch itself.

I thought I would review this cheap watch having used it for four and a half years,mostly for exercise. It has lasted well considering I have used it in water, cold and hot weather. Compared to my Timex, I prefer it for its very simple menu. Time, alarm and stop watch. Thats all I need. Easy to read without glasses. I was jogging in the heat in Spain, yesterday, when I noticed a tiny bit of condensation under the glass. Presumably vapour from my sweat. So that's a shame. I now notice Cakcity positioning themselves as a slightly premium Chinese brand. As opposed to a reliable cheap producer. The similar watch is now about the same price I paid in 2019. I would consider another.

This is the second one of these that I have bought. The first one is still going strong. Not so strong is the strap, which is beginning to crack. However, it has lasted for about 3 years and as I have limited access to watch shops etc, it is cheaper and easier to buy a new one. For £10, it's a bargain.

For ten pounds this watch is excellent value. Display is clear, keeps good time (loses a second every three or four days) and the strap is comfortable.

I liked the price, I liked the design and I am wearing it as I write this article. Very simple with all the best basic functions you will probably need for normal day to day wear.

Good watch for work but timer always starts by itself if you bend your wrist to much

Bought this watch as I've recently qualified as a referee and needed a good stop watch. Watch arrived in good time and the large no.s are easy to see and overall watch easy to use. A very good buy would recommend to other new refs.

For the price, this is a great little watch. I have a large collection of watches and I have come to appreciate simplicity ... and at my age, big numbers. The watch is nice looking and big. It's not too big nor heavy but has a hefty appearance. At 47mm, the majority of the face is mostly dial with numbers that are easy to see and read. As I mentioned, I like the simplicity because I usually struggle with digital watches. Adjusting the date, time and even the alarm doesn't require me to refer to instructions. Even though it only has one alarm plus an hourly chime, resetting the alarm for the next event is fairly fast and straightforward -- and that's what I was hoping to receive. My biggest gripe with the watch is the low alarm/chime sounds. The alarm sounded while writing this review (intentionally) and I barely heard it. The hourly chime also sounded (for 2000) and I didn't notice it (but I was paying more attention to Agents Of Shield). However, less than a foot from my face (I am sitting in bed) and I barely noticed the alarm. This would never awaken me but I don't use a watch for a waking alarm. If I were in my truck and playing the radio, I would never hear the alarm. However, when I have set the alarm and was anticipating it, I noticed it every time. The light button is to the left of the dial (I prefer a right-sided light button). The light is bright and it illuminates the entire face making the watch easy to read in the dark. The band is plastic and seems sturdy. The adjustment hole I am using is a bit too big but the next hole is too snug. This isn't a watch issue but I need to use a little cotton ball so it doesn't slip back/forth on my wrist. I wish there was a countdown timer but this doesn't detract from the rating because I knew I was ordering a watch without this function. The alarm is so quick and easy to set that I can use the alarm instead of a countdown timer. I really like this watch. I just wish it was a bit louder.
