We have been having a major issue with limescale at our home the last year. I hated watching out appliances and fixtures be destroyed, and so I started looking into water softener systems to try and correct the issue. However, they are expensive to purchase and then you have to pay an installer. Then, I saw the Amfa4000 on Amazon and decided for just over a $100 with a money back guarantee...Why not. We installed the unit by the water meter by just opening the meter box and digging down on our side of the water meter to expose about 4 inches of pipe, and clamped it on. It is that simple. After installing, we began to see a difference in our water the next day!! Per the manufacture, they say to give the device a total of 6-8 weeks to take a full effect, but if we are already seeing significant changes in days, I cannot wait to see how well the device works when given weeks! Our build up was so bad that my faucet in my bathroom was running very slow and within 2 days it already was flowing better. The water also already feels softer on our skin and hair in the shower, and it even has a better taste. This device is amazing for the price point and they say it should last a lifetime and comes with a 10 year warranty! Can't beat it!!

Way over priced. I paid way too much and listened to the marketing. There are equivalent items for under $50 that work just as well and are just as powerful. Remember, it is just a large permanent magnet like you would have on your HIFI speakers. It appears to work well, but only really effective for low to moderate concentrations of Lime or Calcium.

Well it's not good. I built a new house and installed a standard 3-stage filter, and there was no lime in the kitchen and bathrooms. I bought this magnet to maintain this level... I bought two of this product from the same company, Amfa 4000 - Amfa 5000, which is 20,000 gauss, and I installed both. In the pipes, each magnet was 4 meters away from the other, but after 2 months, terrific limescale began to appear everywhere. New high-quality pipes, expensive filters, and even magnetizing the water did not help in preventing limescale buildup

Hard water was wreaking havoc on our appliances, but the amfa4000 has come to the rescue. I've noticed a considerable reduction in limescale buildup in our dishwasher and coffee maker. The unit is affordable, easy to install, and the long-term savings on appliance maintenance make it worth every penny.

So far I have seen no results. yet.

I purchased this softener because our brand new home was on town water. My coffee maker was the first victim of hard water. So I researched this product and decided to try it out. My neighbor had purchaed a full house water softening system which also uses salt and filters. After 3 days I saw a difference in the softener. I am amazed that like my neighbor I do not have to buy filters and salts. My plumber was not happy either because he was pitching us into buying a full home water filtration system. We also purchased the Aquahome water filter which we attached to our shower head. No more chlorine taste or smell.

It took longer than expected and as advertised to notice the results but it works well for the price.

In testing with a gauss meter it appears there is only 2 magnets one on the left and 1 on the right. by doing a surface reading with my gauss meter probe showed no more than1380 gauss was the highest reading I got per magnet which means the output total is 2760. There advertising claims 20000 gauss output which is totally misleading. If somebody technically can dispute that I will reorder in the meantime I am sending back my unit

Mon expérience avec l'AMFA 4000 a été excellente. Mon calcaire a disparu et je gagne énormément de temps dans le nettoyage. Je remarque également que l'eau est plus douce lorsqu'on la boit. Je recommande ce merveilleux appareil à tout le monde

Install was supper easy honestly had my doughts but works amazing we have hard water usually within 3 day we have yellowing in our toilets tubs and sinks and our water would get salty tasting with our old softener we put this new salt less softener in and we're going on 2 weeks with it and no yellowing water tastes better and feels softer on the skin 100 percent recommend well worth it definitely recommending to every one I know
