Wordweaving: The Science of Suggestion - A Comprehensive Guide to Creating Hypnotic Language: Volume 1

After reading quite a lot of Jung, Stein, Brandler, Csikszentmihalyi c.s. on Individuation, NLP, Flow and so on, I was gladly pointed out to Trevor Silvesters book WordWeaving since I had my focus and attention on business NLP backgrounds and alternatives.What struck me most was the simple explanations of trances, the backgrounds and the applicability of his WordWeaving techniques in daily life. Couldn't put the book down !Simple structure of his views and the process of constructing suggestive sentences from the trance of the client/patient/partner you are dealing with, not from creating an other trance moment but find the solution with the trance somebody is already in. Generally quite another approach but a very clear, plain, structural solution where ever you are.Due to this book I've bought his second one on WordWeaving and in book 1 was pointed towards Wolinsky's book about the phenomena of daily trances people are in ("Trances people live"). Bought that too and am in it now.In the past I was too busy changing somebody's current trance into a trance where I had solution experiences myself. Trevor opened the door for me towards working within the existing trance people are in. It's so much more rewarding and much more Ericksonian in my view.Wordweaving 1 will change your view on traditional hypnosis, NLP and business NLP forever.great book to read, even for amateur NLP'ers like myself. Love it.

Coming new to hypnotherapy, this book revealed to me a subtle and previously hidden world of human communication. The book gives fascinating insights into how the mind works and for that alone it is worth reading from a general interest point of view. Wordweaving requires considerable study. How much would depend on whether you are already a practising hypnotherapist. I will certainly be reading the book through again as it presents increasingly complex ideas after the first couple of chapters. A book for study rather than a quick read.

I like this book by Trevor, its a very good read and although i may not necessarily follow his model completely, i found much of the information very useful.The book is very easy to read and it has lots of useful ways of thinking which i find clients respond to quite easily. The idea that we are often in trance states when we are in a negative frame of mind i find quite true for some people.Not an experts book i dont think, but very good.

This is an excellent book, part of the series. I love the way Trevor has broken down into chunks the hypnotic language that is used. It has made me more aware of my usage with clients and the changes I am making are sure to translate into more effective sessions.

A bit disappointing in the content, could be useful I suppose.
