Good value case
I'm a home player and wanted something decent for my new Sire V5 bass, but I dislike gig bags and didn't want to spend a fortune. This case fits the bill perfectly, good quality at a reasonable price. If you're musician who travels internationally then this case won't suffice, but but for local gigs, school, college etc. this will be fine. Decent catches, handle and hinges, with metal bumpers underneath and on the hinged side. I would have like them on the short bottom end too as I stand the case on its end pretty often, but not worth docking a star for. Lockable but not tested. Nice black plush interior with padding where it's needed. This case fits a Sire V5 (Jazz style) to perfection. Easy to recommend!

Gator woodshell case for bass guitar
I bought this for a short scale bass and trolled through the site looking for models with internal sizes shown, it helps a lot when buying blind. I had several guitar cases to try it in but all where to short. I knew this would be to long but short fits into long with packing. Internal dimensions are length 118cm width 35cm body length max 56cm depth 7cm. The case is attractive strong and nicely lined with one good sized pocket. Worth the cost delivered promptly.

The lock is non functional other wise good
It's a good case very practical but the lock doesnt work so if you needed to put in a dorm room or somin for storage wouldnt recommend. Otherwise it has good padding and a spacious storage compartment for leads allan keys and other bits and Bob's. Size wise you can fit a full scale bass in there if necessary perfect for 24 frets or less. Neck size wise, I've got a 4 string but I have no doubt that a 5 string would also fit no problem.

Why are they called Gator? Are they made from Alligators? Whats the difference between a crocodile and an alligator anyway?
Great case but recently some of the screws have been coming out of one of the locks.

Useless
Can't even survive delivery, in one piece. So, has no chance of protecting your or my bass, from damage. This wasn't bad luck, as the replacement case sent was also damaged. I've now requested a refund. Don't buy, you're just giving yourself a whole lot of heartache.
