This was such a wonderful surprise!I had to move away from my neighborhood Middle-Eastern grocery store, so I was kind of heartbroken when I couldn’t get my usual brands from overseas.I’ve tried a lot of local spice blends that don’t quite capture the depth of flavor I’m used to.So I you can bet I was over the moon when I got this Shawarma spice blend! I applied this to a rack of lamb I had been saving for a special occasion and it was a big hit in our household! It’s not too earthy and there’s no off-tasting ingredients like cumin or rosemary (I don’t know why people add those to everything)! If you add red pepper and dried rose petals this could make a passable ras-el-hanout in a pinch!I totally recommend this for people who are looking to broaden the flavor palate of their usual dishes.
