Raven's Breath: Volume 1 (The Women of Purgatory)

I enjoyed this novel, the mythology whilst familiar was quite unique. I liked the characters a lot (mainly the female ones) I would recommend this series.

This is the first book that I have read by Tish, and I really liked her writing style. It is easy to read, and a great adventure. I loved the combinations of Heaven and Hell with the Death and the Grim Reapers, but then she threw in Norse mythology too. It mixed very well together and was a great adventure. I’m going to have to look into more of Tish’s work since she writes paranormal romance, and I love reading this genre.I really liked Raven and Garrett. They were my favorite characters. They are best friends and made me laugh. I like that Raven is strong and doesn’t take crap from anyone. I love how she stands up for herself and fights for what she believes is right.I definitely recommend this story to my paranormal romance reading friends. You will definitely enjoy this unique story!!

Good read

I'm in the process of reading Raven's Breath. I'm at 40% and it's hard to stop reading. I've had to force myself to stop because I have to sleep sometime. Very interesting. Wow, what a great read. I would have never guessed the ending. Wow, what a brilliant mind Tish has. Thanks Tish. Keep up the great work. I highly recommend this book and any of her books.

I've read a few books about reapers and I love the concept! It started out good...then went into straight-on romance. I don't enjoy romance novels. I sigh this had more reaping and what happened to the souls and what the ,Ives of the souls were like before they died. So while the book was alright, I don't think I will rush into book 2

The first book in the series is great! We have the story of Raven and the Archangel Michael.Raven and her best friend Garret work for Death. They are reapers in Purgatory. Their job is to guide the souls to where they have to go after a person dies. Either to Heaven or to Hell.Raven isn't a topical reaper either. She's the first female reaper and has some kickass black wings!She seems to also be getting a nifty new power and that is she can also breath life back into a person after they have passed. A great gift given to her after she had been marked by Heaven.Death has a plan of his own and that is to create a new winged reaper and live topside. But with that plan comes a crapload of problems!!The only downside to this story is that I found that her relationship with Michael came out of the blue. I didn't see it coming at all. All of a sudden they were in love and that was it. I would have liked for the author to have introduced him a bit earlier and have their love grow instead of bam... I love you kind of thing.This is definitely YA with some swearing in case you wanted to know. 😉

I thought this sounded like something interesting and original so I downloaded it. After several chapters I thought it was about to get kinda cheesy and almost deleted it. Before I did I read a little further and was sucked back in!! From that point I didn't put it down, finished in a day!!! Wow, great story line and characters! Just enough detail to understand and not get bored! Truly loved this book, glad I didn't delete it!

The setting and premise of this book are wonderfully original and entertaining. The plot is well paced. The ending is an amazing surprise. As humorous romance, the book is delightful. I highly recommend it.
