I am an Executive Director (Asst. Supt.) in a 17,000+ student public school district. I have read and reread this book multiple times as we work to improve teachers' "Instructional Agility." The authors do an excellent job presenting the theory and practical applications of assessment practices which lead to better student learning. Without being prescriptive, the authors challenge the reader to analyze key aspects of current and desired assessment practices, as an integral part of the teaching-learning process, not viewing assessment as an event typically separate from the students learning experiences. If you already know of Solution Tree's work and/or these authors, this book will confirm their high quality work. If this is your first exposure to these authors, this is a great work by which to get to know them and help your class/school/district improve.
