Great - the design is smart and chic compared to the old fashioned boxes I've seen in SO many places.I wanted to update my old cantilever sewing box as I didn't like the fact you couldn't see and access everything easily in the fold out drawers, this does the job! I like that you have two layers to see your items clearly; a tray overlays a larger compartment below. It fits quite a lot of stuff - I have two large scissors, rotary cutter, smaller scissors, threads, several small boxes, tape measure, needle case and few other bits.The colour is a lovely bright red, and the 'Make do and Mend' is embroidered into the top face of the lid. I didn't want a floral box and polka dots are so me!!! Very happy with my new sewing box.

Having looked at a number of large sewing boxes online I chose this one for two reasons - firstly because it looked both attractive and fun, secondly because all the previous reviewers gave it five stars. It arrived today and I am thrilled with it! It is very stylish and just SO pretty, even more so in real life. The real buttons sewn onto the lid, along with the embroidered needle and lettering, are the finishing touches. It is very spacious, currently holding: 2 pairs of scissors, a rotary cutter and spare blade, 6 reels of cotton, a notebook and pen, 2 pin cushions, a box of pins, a tape measure and 3 zips. And to top it all, it's red!! What more could you ask for?

I wanted a large sewing box for my daughter for Christmas and this was almost perfect. I bought a similar one from Argos that was red with spots which was good for the price and quite a bit bigger than this one but I ordered this one to compare them. The Argos one was bigger and I liked that as I wanted a big one, however this looked and felt better and it had the accessories that matched.If I was buying one for myself I would have gone for the Argos one due to size and it was nice, but for a gift this just was so much nicer.

Well-made sewing box. Cute. HUGE. Plenty of room for everything. Takes up quite a bit of storage space, but helps keep me organised.

This is a very well made and high quality sewing box, definately a cut above the rest. I have been looking for a sewing box for a while and not been able to decide on any but this one is beautiful and elegant and after reading the other reviews I immediately decided to make my purchase. I would highly recommend this sewing box for its elegance and quality and pleasing appearance. It gives me pleasure each time that I use it.

Bought this beautiful item for my mum for her birthday which arrived in good time, well packaged and as described. She is delighted with it and now has a much more spacious work basket for all her sewing kit! I can't find a flaw in this product and will look forward to buying the matching items that will go with this basket for a different occasion. Great buy, no regrets!

Bought this for my mum for a christmas present. It's really lovely. I love the box and you can tell it's well made, which sets it apart from the cheapy versions I've found online. It's pretty expensive though but I love it so much I'm okay with that!Basically, really lovely box. Love it.

Good quality, good looking box. Love the lift out tray with 5 sections in 3 different size so sewers can arrange their bits in a way that suits them. The space underneath is also substantial, big enough to take small boxes (eg thread boxes) to keep everything organised and easy to find.
