I love these for chalk art and also to sketch out designs for actual painting. I plan to take them with me in my camper van so I can fiddle around with chalk or water soluble crayons and then just erase them with a wet cloth when finished.

I've gone through several display boards while serving meals for 300+ people and this is far better than any I've used. I could see online that the board had that plastic sort of coating and in my experience chalk does NOT write on those. Chalk writes beautifully on this with ease! Does not come with chalk, for some reason I thought it did, but no worries chalk is cheap. In one picture I am showing that I was able to wipe off the chalk and markers but I had to use a damp cloth with the markers. Time will tell if only a damp cloth is needed after it sits all day. On other boards I've had to use that "special white cleaning sponge" you can buy in the cleaning section to scrub off the chalk marker shadow that's left behind, but so far it doesn't need it. My preferred chalk marker shows up bright and cleans off easier, the set that it came with is nice and bright for most of the colors, the white is not very bright and the purple is very dark and can only be seen from an angle. Don't know why I thought of this but I don't think the cut edge of the board would survive getting very wet, it would probably swell up if soaked, but a small amount of care will keep that from happening. I mean, who would submerge their board in water, right? But if anyone is wondering, there you have it. I noticed other comments that the stands look used. I don't think that is the case, it's just the type of wood that shows up scuffs easily and I am sure that happens just from manufacturing and packing, it gives it a slightly distressed look that is not bad. I absolutely love that I can remove the board to write on it and change the position from portrait to landscape, stand up straight or leaning back. I also much prefer the soft rag that came with it than the sponge shown at purchase. I am pleasantly surprised over this set and highly recommend! Hope this exact set is still around when I need another!

The only reason they aren't 5 stars is because of the chalk markers. They are not highly pigmented, but do the job well enough. I LOVE the chalkboards and pedestals, though. They are GREAT. The pedestals have 2 ways to display the boards, and it is very helpful. And the boards are very easy to clean, even after higher pigment chalk markers are used. 100% WORTH buying.

I used these for food dishes at my son's open house. They're perfect for letting guests know which dishes are available. The appearance was cute and served the purpose.

I bought these boards to make table signs for my sister-in-law’s baby shower and they worked out perfectly! Chaulk markers are of good quality. The board holders have two different slots in them so you can choose if you want your sign facing completely upright, or slightly slanted which I love. Recommend for party planning table signs for sure!! 😊

These are a HUGE Party staple in my house! I host tons of baby showers, holiday parties, etc. I use these every time! 100/10 recommend! Easy to clean, easy to store, get you some different chalk markers, but other than that I LOVE them!
