Apart from the pairing instructions which are slightly worse than useless and completely wrong, the product once you've worked out how to pair it works fine and looks nice. If you do get one of these, don't bother looking for the 'frequencies' of your unit - just let it scan the lot and it will find it eventually, but good value (apart from the idiotic instructions) :-)

My remote control on an unusual air-conditioner them Demrad had stopped working. This universal Remote found the correct Codes 182 for the demrad air-conditioner and now I have the air-conditioner back working brilliant thank you.

I purchased three of these controllers as a few of my clients were missing remotes for their air conditioners and this seemed the ideal solution. Out of all the units I tested the remotes on, only 1 responded which was a 12 year old Fujitsu unit. I also tested them on a pair of three year old Mitsubishi Electric cassette units, a 5 year old Mitsi wall mount unit, a 12 year old Mitsubishi Heavy Industries cassette unit and a 2 year old MHI wall mount. Considering there are 1000 codes stored on the remote I would assume at least ONE would make these units work, but no such luck. It's worth bearing in mind Mitsubishi Electric is one of the most popular brands in the UK. Judging by the list of brands included in the instruction booklet I think these remotes are more suited to the far east air conditioning market. About 90% of the brands listed are ones I have never heard of and I've been in this game for 16 years. On the plus side, the remotes are of fairly good build quality and look as though they will last. The instructions are in decent English (not 'Chinglish' as found in some manuals) and the setup is nice and straightforward. The 'illumination' button on the remote is not to light up the screen but oddly activates a small LED torch next to the I.R. emitter. If this product worked with our European spec units this would definitely be a 5 star product and I would buy 20 of them at that price. But seeing as they could only get one out of about 10 units to do anything they are not fit for purpose - one star only I'm afraid.

My OE air con controller decided to go on the blink and stopped working for some reason. Ordered this replacement item which so far has been faultless. Easy to programme and picked up my AC unit the first go.

My remote for a very old Mitsubishi air-con unit (25 years+) failed. I was concerned due to the age of the unit that a modern remote wouldn't work. Received new remote, it couldn't find the unit on auto-scan, so I punched in the 1st code given in the instructions, and bingo it worked perfectly. thought I would have to purchase a new unit, so I'm very happy with this. It is also better quality than I was expecting and feels better than the original.

I bought a different one first which didn't work. This seems to work well, so I am happy. Used with SANYO A/C

Reason for three stars is that not all functions on control work, guess this is price to pay with cheap alternative

Cette télécommande fonctionne parfaitement et constitue un très bon produit de remplacement. J'ai ai deux exemplaires. La vrai difficulté est de trouver la notice sur internet (avec les codes par marque de climatiseur), il faut persévérer. J'ai joint le lien ci dessous. Le produit est vraiment pensé pour du multi-marque puisqu'il y a trois possibilités de chercher les codes: - le plus rapide: 21 marques proposées avec un raccourci clavier (on appuie longtemps sur une touche en particulier, en fonction de la marque: "mode" pour LG et Samsung par ex.). Des qu'on lmache le bouton c'est mémorisé. Difficile de faire plus rapide ou plus simple! - le mode automatique: appuyer sur SET pendant 6 secondes et les codes défilent automatiquement en mode rapide. appuyer sur OK pour mémoriser le code qui déclenche le climatiseur - le mode manuel: un grand tableau avec environ 200 marques. Appuyer sur SET jusqu'à ce que l'écran clignote, puis entrer le code avec les flèches et appuyer sur OK. Par ex 630-639 pour Toshiba. L'utilisation est relativement intuitive. Il y a meme un mode Timer pour fonctionner par intermittence (en nocturne par ex.) La portée et la directivité sont bonnes, on n'est pas obligé de viser directement l'appareil. Le nouveau modèle propose un retro éclairage très utile si on la manipule dans le noir. Elle est solide et fiable. Malgré plusieurs chutes, l'écran LCD résiste sans pb. Petit bémol, si les piles sont vides depuis longtemps, on perd le code du climatiseur (il faut le re-mémoriser). Mais il y a un emplacement prévu au dos pour marquer le code au stylo. In sostituzione dell'originale, si e' interfacciato immediatamente con il condizionatore Fuji e con accesso a tutte le funzioni disponibili inserendo uno dei codici previsti (ve ne sono per tutte le marche e apparecchi compatibili). Per il collegamento all'apparecchio e' comunque prevista anche la ricerca automatica. Il telecomando e' piu' solido di quanto mi aspettassi, i tasti sono morbidi e piacevoli al tatto. Le istruzioni allegate sono essenziali, solo in inglese ma comprensibili e nella confezione sono incluse anche 2 batterie mini stilo. L'unico appunto e' che il display non e' retroilluminato (il tasto light attiva un led frontale con funzione di torcia). In compenso il tasto di accensione al buio rimane leggermente luminescente. In definitiva un buon prodotto economico che ha risolto il problema del telecomando rotto.
