Great basin tap that is acomete kit. You get a high quality tap. Pop up push waste plug. Tap comes connected to hot and cold branded steel hoses. The kit also contains some high quality brass fitments to connect the hoses to standard 15mm hot an cold supply. Comes with all the instructions and offers great value. Looks fabulous and very modern.

The tap is lovely, the quality you would expect from ideal standard and works just as advertised. I expect this tap to last a lot longer than the one it replaced, which only lasted 7 years before it started leaking from everywhere! My one moan is that the connectors were not what I consider the standard size, instead being smaller…yes, rather nice brass adapters are provided to allow you to connect to wider bore, but these are not made to screw straight onto the male ends of the isolator valves most people like to use! I would have had to turn the water in my home off completely and remove the isolator valves to have used them as they were, which is not good when, like most people these days I prefer the convenience of being able to isolate a tap without shutting off the supply so I can repair or replace. I had to get some copper pipe from a friend and cut two very short lengths to run from the isolator valve and fit the supplied adapters, not easy and much more time consuming. I don’t know why they couldn’t use standard bore connectors or supply adapters for male and female connections to the supply?

I love every aspect of this product. Very well manufactured in Hull. I would highly recommend it. Unfortunately, my plumber couldn't install it as it did not have a lever to connect to the pop up waste pipe.

This comes with french flex pipes, which are much narrower and restrict waterfall by half.

Ideal Standard is a long standing, well respected and trusted name in kitchen and bathroom taps and fittings. This basin mono-tap is really attractive with it’s clean, simple and modern design. Nicely engineered, both the tap and the push up waste is finished in a deeply reflective, bright, highly polished chrome which looks truly luxurious. My experience with Ideal Standard is that their taps always function perfectly, look good and last for years. I really like the simple design of this tap, it is not small though and might look out of place on a really little cloakroom basin, but in most installations, it will look absolutely great. Everything needed is included in the box, with very clear instructions for assembly and installation. A trusted name, quality build, beautiful finish, reasonable price and, a five-year guarantee, what’s not to like?

This mixer tap, shows it is from a well established plumbing specialist company as the design screams thoughtfulness and quality manufacture. Designed for a bathroom basin that accepts a single mixer tap as opposed to separate hot and cold water taps it is a breeze to fit. It comes with all the fittings required to make this simplicity itself, even for an average DIY guy like me. But its not just about ease of fitting, most bases if not all of them seem to be covered with this design. From an aesthetic viewpoint it looks lovely with smooth flowing lines and lack of nooks and crannies for muck to gather in, the final touch is a great quality chrome finish that makes cleaning easy and simple. Similarly, gone are things such as hot and cold controls, instead you have a simple large leaver that you twist to adjust the desired temperature (it has a lockable function to prevent scolding). This handle also makes it easy and simple to operate if you are an elderly person or someone who has problems gripping or turning stiff controls as it moves smoothly and easily. The final icing on the cake has to be the eco features that are built in as standard. Having the ability to limit the flow without reducing the output to a trickle it provides the desired water flow effect, but saves water at the same time. The long standard guarantee also gives you confidence that you are buying a quality product that will last for many years before needing to be replaced. So there you go, I'm sure there are cheaper options, but if you want quality, style and thoughtful design this has to be the way to go. Sometimes paying a little bit more upfront can save you a lot more in the long run as well as providing a better experience.
