I have a 8 channel nvr and this repeater. if i buy another repeater, can i add 8 more cameras or do i need to buy a nvr that supports 16 or 32?

this repeater is only to add more cameras t o the NVR and power additional cameras . in order to record you need a NVR with the support of all cameras connected 16 or 32 etc

I can free one channel in my NVR to connect the router and the repeatear to have more connect cámeras?

I don't think so. The maximum of the cameras of zmodo 32 channel NVR is 32 cameras. There no extra port to "free one channel" because it only use one port to connect to the router.

Does this repeater work with the 720p model nvrs (with the 8 ports on nvr for cameras) or only with the 1080p nvr models (no camera ports on nvr)?

Yes. It provides sPOE (19v dc / data) support which is what the 720p NVR provides. You might need this to help with camera placement so you don’t have to run 8 cables all the way back to the NVR.
