Sakura 5L Mighty Green Car Wash Shampoo SS4619 – For All Vehicle Paint Finishes - 75 Washes (Packaging may vary)

My driveway has been a graveyard for "budget" car soaps that either smell like industrial degreaser or have the cleaning power of plain water. With two cars to keep clean, I was burning through small 1L bottles every month. I picked up this 5L Sakura jug mainly as a bulk-buy experiment to see if it could handle the heavy road salt and grime buildup. 𝗦𝘂𝗱𝘀, 𝗦𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 The first thing I noticed was the viscosity. It’s thicker than the watery "value" brands you find in local stores like Halfords. Using a standard two-bucket method, I found that roughly 60ml to 70ml in a 10L bucket creates a very stable foam. It’s a 𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 compared to premium snow foams, but the lubricity is where it actually wins. The wash mitt glides over the clear coat without that "grabbing" sensation you get when a soap is too thin, which is critical for preventing swirl marks on darker paint finishes. 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗮𝗽𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 I tested this on a white vehicle that hadn't been washed in three weeks. The "Mighty Green" formula did a solid job of lifting surface film without needing aggressive scrubbing. - It cuts through fresh bird droppings and light pollen easily. - It struggles slightly with baked-on tree sap, requiring a bit more dwell time or a dedicated remover. - The rinse is very clean. Unlike some "wax-infused" soaps that leave a greasy streak if you don't buff them immediately, this leaving a neutral surface ready for a drying towel. 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗲 𝗗𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀 At 5 Liters, the economy here is hard to beat. The label claims "up to 75 washes." In a real-world scenario where you actually want decent foam, I’d peg it closer to 55 or 60 washes, but even at that rate, you’re paying pennies per wash. The lime scent is pleasant and noticeable while you're scrubbing but it doesn't linger or cloy once the car is dry. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲-𝗼𝗳𝗳𝘀 The only real downside is the physical jug itself. Because it’s a wide-mouth 5L container, it’s 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘮𝘴𝘺 to pour directly into a measuring cup or bucket without it glugging and splashing. I ended up transferring some into a smaller 500ml squeeze bottle for easier dosing. Also, while it’s safe for all finishes, don't expect it to add a "show-room shine" on its own. It’s a pure cleaner, not a polish in a bottle. 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗶𝗽: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 If you want the best results, fill your bucket halfway with warm water before adding the soap, then blast it with the hose to finish. The surfactants in this specific formula seem to activate much better with a bit of heat, creating a denser foam that stays on the vertical panels of the car longer. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 - ✅ Volume: 5L lasts a dedicated DIY detailer several months. - ✅ Safety: pH-balanced enough that it didn't strip the existing sealant on my car. - ✅ Scent: Fresh lime that actually smells like citrus, not chemicals. - ⚠️ Pouring: The jug is heavy so use a funnel or transfer bottle to avoid waste. - ❌ Heavy Grime: Needs a pre-soak for heavy tar or sap.

I have used a dollop of this in a bucket and applied foam by brush. I have also used it undiluted in my pressure washer. Either way it seems to cut through grime and, provided that you rinse it well, leaves an excellent finish on car paintwork without the need to leather (and I have a gloss black car, which would normally show streaks). I used to use cheap own brand shower gel for washing cars (don't use detergents as they contain salt) but this stuff is both better and cheaper. Recommended. Six months down the road - it's now September - and the bottle has only gone down by a couple of centimetres. This is brilliant stuff (I don't often get excited about shampoo!) for the money. Seems to clean alloys up a treat as well!

This is a good product and well worth 4 stars. It has a pleasant fragrance and does appear to wash the car as well as any other shampoo product. In use if does seem to foam up well, but in a hard water area I would suggest that you might struggle to get close to 75 washes, although I am nowhere near that amount yet. I found that it rinses off well and doesn't leave any streaks providing that you do rinse it thoroughly. So why four stars and not five? Personally I don't think that this product is quite as good as the Autoglym product; yes it is cheaper, but it does appear to use more than with the more expensive products and therefore a bit like some of the cheaper washing up liquids, this item is not quite as good. Perhaps more importantly the question that I would like to answer is "would I buy it again"? yes I would. I really do quite like this product and for three againg cars, I see little point in spending a fortune on car wash. You wil also note that it is not a wash and wax product. If you want this option, I find that with three cars to wash I haven't the time to wax them more than once a year so I either add a capful of the excellent Mer car polish product to a wash, or even better still, quickly rinse the cars off after the shampoo, then fill a bucket with warm water, add the mer and sponge it on to the paintwork; saves getting polish onto your glasswork.

The car's parked under trees, so tithe time of year (June), get all sorts of stuff dropping onto it. Does the job just fine, but you will only get best value if you dilute accurately, according to the instructions. This seems obvious, but avoid the temptation to 'busk it and glug', as you will use to much.

Not a fanatic on car washing !, but it cleaned the car removing much of the road rubbish - use as a basic car wash , therefore good alternative to lazy approach of car washes at cost…👍

Brilliant shampoo for van trade valets as it goes a long way with sufficient suds and leaves behind a glossy shine

This product is as good as all the well known brands at a fraction of the cost. Well worth the money. Foams up great and smells nice too.

Using a little more in the bucket than much more expensive pure shampoos such as the excellent Augoglym get a similar smooth lather with a car wash brush and good cleaning, with little in the way of spots left over. At £2 odd a litre however very good value. Update. Be careful with price as varies wildly. At less than £10 decent value, can be on for more than double this price!

Decisamente un ottimo rapporto tra qualità prezzo , l'ho usato una sola volta e la macchina non era sporca da far vedere il rendimento ma , mi ha dato l'impressione di un buon prodotto.

Bin Sehr zufrieden damit, wenn es alle ist kaufe ich nochmals. Reinigt sehr gut, riecht auch angenehm. Ich kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Pense que por el precio seria un champu un poco carroñero pero al contrario, cumple perfectamente con su funcionamiento que es dejar bien limpio el coche y brillante.Solo suelo utilizar un tapon para un caldero y con eso es mas que suficiente para que haga suficiente espuma

Très bon compromis prix/qualité. Le produit est concentré, faut le diluer (j'utilise un canon à mousse), et là c'est parfait. J'ai fait des adeptes autour de moi... Pourquoi acheter plus cher ???
