It has better air movement than the larger 8" clip-on fan I purchased for $26.99. It us very impressive. If your daughter will not have access to electricity, have her take a couple of battery banks. I love that it uses the USB-C port instead of the commonly used USB Micro. I am totally thrilled by this little power house of a fan

How strong is the clip and will it clip tightly to the stroller?

I bought this fan specifically for the stroller. I've only used it a few times and it works great. The clips are strong enough to clip on strollers.

Can regular batteries be used in this fan?

This doesn’t use batteries. It is a usb rechargeable fan. The charge lasts about 8 hours on low speed and takes about an hour to two hours to recharge. Hope this answers your question.
