This is worth your time!
I am an entrepreneur and CEO of a mid-size company that experienced tremendous growth in the last couple of years. I was struggling to understand why I was so frustrated with employees on the daily. I was busy working 80+hours a week. I made time for this book and it was well worth it.It was so impactful that I ended up researching the author to see what other resources she had to offer. I invested in her coaching sessions and it has been the most helpful and eye-opening experience. Her book is great, her coaching sessions will take you to the next level. Val is an amazing mentor, coach, creative leader, and company culture expert. I highly recommend her coaching sessions.I also invested in using her book and online courses to teach my management team. Some of my team have been in a leadership role for years, others were brand new. Everyone benefited from her courses and were motivated and eager for more. I signed up several of my directors and HR staff with coaching classes with her and received only positive feedback.Thank you, Val, for helping me improve my company in ways I couldn’t have done without your insight and expertise.

Good advice but some flaws.
I bought this book from Audible, so I listened and not read it. The author herself reads it, which honestly when she says “I did, my results, I…” gets annoying after a while. That said, it was a quick lesson and her advice has acronyms that help you remember solutions. I definitely got information from the book and would recommend it. But, it is not going to blow your mind with revolutionary information.

Motivating and Inspiring
Now, more than ever inspiring leaders are sorely needed across the workplace.Read this book and apply immediately!Leadership cannot be successful or sustainable without these qualities outlined in the book: personal responsibility, trust, support, being proactive and so much more. Not only will you become your own Chief Inspiration Officer, but you will lead others as a master influencer with these tools and frameworks in place. One of my favorite frameworks is the CRAVE culture for teams: Connection, Reliability, Appreciation, Value, and Effective Communication. It's so easy to get caught up in more tactical topics like compensation, but if these 5 things are embraced within a team, teams flourish and those other conversations aren't as relevant. One stat shared in the book is that teams that have a high-trust culture have 74% less stress - the kind of culture I think we can all strive for and is illustrated in this book. What a refreshing book on how to create inspiration that can lead to more impact and feel good while doing it!

Leadership Must Have-Practical Application
This book is a must have for new or experienced leaders, individuals or teams. The framework is actionable and practical. The exercises bring about awareness to blind spots and where judgement, absolutes, and “stories” are dampening growth and joy. Of all growth, leadership, business etc books I’ve read; this is THE one. Big thank you to author Val Ries!
