Not Patrek, but not trying to be.
"Printed by Amazon". Pretty good book, not as good as Patrek but a bit easier to read and about a seventh the price. The "print on demand" nature of the book Marrs the quality of the page layout a bit. Chimonas repeats a few phrases to the point of farse, "X will not be discussed in this book" being a favorite. Overall it's an accessible introduction to framebuilding with an emphasis on doing things at home using tools and fixtures available to the home builder without the crazy expense of some pro level tooling. The diagrams concerning geometry could have been much clearer. I would recommend it to the less experienced builder.

Great book.
Husband is very pleased with how much information this bike book has, to help him build a bicycle from scratch. Great purchase for anyone looking to build their own bike. Book arrived in great condition.

Very useful reference manual for beginner bike construction
I bought this for my husband as he's building a bike from scratch. He is an engineer but a beginner at bike building, and this is the only book he's needed. There are some tricks to brazing that are missing and that he's had to learn by trial and error, but it is well written with illustrations, and it it good enough to be used as the only reference manual for beginners.EDIT: He is now using the book in combination with this one to fill in some of the gaps on the brazing side: Soldering and Brazing (Workshop Practice) by Tubal Chain https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/0852428456/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_27
