Blazing fast and reliableโAOP3Dโs new favorite travel companion!
I am beyond impressed with this NETGEAR Nighthawk M6! As AOP3D, I need a connection that can keep up with heavy data demands while I'm on the move, and this mobile router delivers in a big way. Even though this is a "Renewed" unit, it arrived in pristine condition and looks virtually brand new. The 5G speeds are incredible, and the WiFi 6 technology handles all my connected devices without a single hiccup. It was incredibly easy to set up with my AT&T SIM, and the touchscreen interface is super intuitive for checking data usage and signal strength. Whether Iโm working from a remote spot or just need a secure backup for my home network, this Nighthawk M6 is a powerhouse. Itโs compact, powerful, and a total game-changer for staying connected anywhere!

Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for Mobile Connectivity
The NETGEAR Nighthawk M6 5G WiFi 6 Mobile Hotspot Router (MR6110) delivers excellent performance. Speeds are blazing fast, connections are stable, and it handles multiple devices without any issues. Setup is simple, the interface is user-friendly, and the WiFi 6 performance makes a noticeable difference compared to older hotspots. Itโs great for travel, remote work, and as a backup internet solution. Overall, this hotspot is powerful, reliable, and well worth the investment if you need fast mobile internet on the go. Highly recommended.

Works!
I was in the market for a mobile hotspot device to use on T-Mobile, for a permanent private network I could use at work (work network/wifi is pretty locked down for security reasons). This device hits all the requirements: - Unlocked. Even though it was an ATT hotspot, it works flawlessly for T-Mobile as well. - 5g. One of the most affordable options if you want access to the 5g network. As T-Mobile has the widest 5g in the U.S., this was a must for me. - Dual band. Some of my wifi devices are 2.4ghz. Being able to still connect with them, while having 5ghz for the rest, is great. - Wifi + cellular. There is a strong T-Mobile "free" wifi signal near work. This device can use that (and not burn through the data cap), but also use cellular when on the go. - Ethernet port. I prefer to have equipment wired when possible. Lower latency, fewer connection issues, etc. Whe there's only one Ethernet port, I can combine that with a cheap switch to get multiple devices connected failry easily.

NOT unlocked like the description says
So I ordered one of these because I read another review that said they could use a T-Mobile SIM card in it without any issues. And the description of the product says it is unlocked. That is not the case and at first I thought maybe it was a mistake so I exchanged it for another one. Even that one is also locked and it wants a unlock pin and I took it to the AT&T store and they said because it does not belong on an account with them they can't do any type of unlocking. So if you have an AT&T SIM card this will work for you because in the store they tested it with one of their SIM cards and it came up fine. As soon as you put in a T-Mobile SIM card it says the device is locked. I also tried a Verizon Sim out of curiosity and even though it says it's not supported, it actually gets further but still does not work because it wants you to enter the APN configuration. However, it refuses to save that. Plus the antennas might not support the frequencies that Verizon is on anyways. So this will be the second one going back but I'm unsure if I should exchange for a third one or just return it and shop for a different solution.

Creating own LAN subnet is wacky, otherwise itโs great
Cons first: It wasnโt easy changing the LAN settings. At first I didnโt even think it was possible but it seems you change it under the DHCP settings and restart. And on that note, nearly EVERY change requires a restart and they do not reboot quickly so be prepared to invest some time in it to get it tweaked the way you like. Pros: Definitely happy it truly is a gigabit ethernet port, but you have to set it manually and restart. It works great with a router. Coverage is far better than the 4G hotspots. For those complaining of heat, try running it with the battery removed directly on power (again, another restart) as thatโs also supposedly the best performance anyway. If not just get it propped on something to get some air beneath it. I do recommend using the web server to configure it. Itโs slow but easier to see than the touchscreen. For people complaining about the SIM card, you have to slide it in carefully and pin side down. There is a teeny tiny pic next to the slot that shows you how to orient it. Look at it a bit first before you attempt it. I am just relieved that it does what it is supposed to and is a true gigabit port. I am not using the built in WiFi on it so I cannot comment to that, sorry. (Using a separate $20 TP-Link router with large antenna footprint for all my WiFi devices. )

It works but also heats up quickly and disconnects from internet after long use
I used this device for an international travel to Japan. It served the purpose. Eventhough I am satisfied with the results, I have a few concerns listed below. Pros: - Small enough to fit in a small purse - Unlocked to work with international GSM sim cards. I used it in Japan. - After charged, battery goes for 6 to 8 hours (depending on the energy saving mode used) - QR Code makes it easy to connect your mobile device to the network - Can connect multiple devices at the same time Cons: - Heats up quickly while there is a device connected. Especially if you are keeping it in your bag. - Does not charge the battery while the device is on (see notes below) - APN information is not updated for the simcard operator automatically. You need to manually enter the information. - It takes about a minute to power - I believe the device automatically disconnect the user from the network it is not in use for a while. When the phone/computer is disconnected, it needs to be re-connected manually. I had to take the device out and scan the QR code constantly to be able to use. Additional notes: - If your device is locked, you need to connect with ATT. Netgear support is not able to help with this request (I tried a couple of time). The easiest way is to search "ATT Device unlock request" on Google and submit your request online. They get back to you pretty quickly with unlock confirmation/instructions. - The device battery does not charge while it is on. You need to plug the device while it is on, and press the power button for a few seconds to switch to "Standby charging" mode to be able to charge the battery. It takes about 2 hours to charge fully. Hope this helps.

Works great
So, I bought this for my RV thinking I can use it for my boat in the summer. I bought it along with the external Antenna It really does work great for using the internet with my computer and streaming. Here are some pros and cons: Pros: Gets a great signal. Once in a campground where I was unable to get cell phone service the external antenna got such good signal I was still able to stream to my roku TV which was very surprising. Great battery life and gives off a strong signal for your devices. Cons: The plans AT&T have are pretty expensive and when streaming it uses a lot of bandwidth. Getting a plan with it from AT&T was challenging. It requires a SIM card and since we were traveling, we went to an AT&T store and got one. It was hard to activate it though(I didn't take the device with me) so I had to do it online. The person in the chat was only able to send me a new SIM card which went to my home address. Once I finally got the right person on the phone, they were able to access the one that I got from the store and it worked great after that. Another con is that if you disconnect this device then you have to pay another $35 activation fee, so since we used it for a month and then went home we had to decide whether to disconnect or just reduce the plan when we got home.

Super bargain for a mobile hotspot. Great speed and no issues so far.
Great product for the price. Looks new out of the box. Before getting my sim card I was able to get it to connect to my existing WIFI and use it as a access point and backhaul over the existing Spectrum service in my office. Once I got the sim installed, it connected to the ATT cellular network like a champ at 5G and I'm getting 50gb+ down and 15-20gb down which is consistent with the plan I'm on. (Business $80/mo). I have used it traveling between locations and I bought an antenna thinking I might need it for good connection to the ATT cellular network, but so far haven't had any issues. WAY BETTER than spending $500-$600 for the latest version and having a 36 month contract. I can use anywhere and quit without penalty at anytime. Well worth the price. Setup is kinda mysterious, had to upgrade the operating system of the device, but that eventually was accomplished. NETGEAR WILL NOT support your refurb device saying you have to go to ATT for support, but again I was able to call and talk to someone at NETGEAR and get pointed in the right direction. Again, solid connection and works well as a WIFI access point. The backhaul option I love since I could eventually use some other connection for free for a wifi connection.
