Us older guys remember the old days of car audio. When fosgate was American made and sounded amazing. The best speakers for car audio I’ve ever heard are Cerwin Vega stealth series from around 2002. After that fosgate punch from the early 90’s. The Vegas would play loud and clear and hit bass notes! So do these! They are warm and full sounding! Finally a modern speaker that plays loud and clear and actually has bass! A Cerwin Vega stealth bomber b55 is running these at 80 watts rms at 4 ohms. The 6.75 d series d65f in the rear and a pioneer d series 10” for sub. Holy! It sounds good! Clear and clean and hits hard! The d series is the sweet spot in pioneers. Yes the z series sound really good. But the d series is best sound for dollar out there in my opinion. Warm full and clean! Pioneer makes fantastic speakers always has. You won’t find better sound at 400 dollar components out there. These speakers allow full sound without needing a subwoofer. I may have to sound deaden doors the way these hit.or my 2025 Silverado may rattle apart. When you amp these speakers they come alive. I may have to say it. Probably best sounding system I’ve had and I’ve had many at 54 years old. I’ve had infinity kappa. Kicker ks, Cerwin Vega, fosgate,Jbl,blaupunkt,Orion,Fultron/memphis, and mtx. These are high end audiophile speakers at a great price!buy d series and amp them with a good clean amp and you’ll be grinning from ear to ear! Also these have a passive crossover built into woofer and into wiring for tweeter so no big crossover box to mess with. Huge advantage in setting up. These scream quality. So enjoy in moderation guys keep your hearing!

Amazing sound quality, even with the factory amplifier on a gen6 Outback. Comes with all the adapters you'll need for the tweeters which was a really nice surprise. They also included 2 inline capacitors which I ended up using to restrict all low frequencies on top of the factory crossovers. Very pleased with the overall sound quality.

If you want to swap speakers without adding a sub, I don't think I've ever heard 6x9's with better bass extension in this price range. These speakers need a lot of power but once amp'd, the speakers sound balanced and the low bass frequencies are absolutely warm and beautiful. It's all subjective but I have heard stronger mids from other speakers, which might be a better option when paired with a sub. The Pioneer tweeter mounts that come with the components fit perfectly in the a-pillars on my 2017 F150 for a factory look but the supplied wires were too short to reach. Little annoying. Overall, a few things I would change, but I am fairly pleased with the purchase.

These things wreck. I haven’t even gotten my Pioneer 4-Channel amp hooked up and am only running ~25W RMS to them at the moment and the woofers seriously thump for their size. I plan on putting some sound deadening material into my doors to keep the buzz down because while these won’t totally replace the sound you get with a subwoofer they certainly give you some decent bass that makes me wonder how badly I need a sub. I am matching these with a Pioneer A Series 6.5 4-way coax in the back just to have a decent filler that was cost effective for me. But the D series 6x9 components are seriously good and they’re going to sound better with proper power behind them.

I have these powered through an aftermarket pioneer head unit pushing 50rms x4. The highs are great and the lows are possibly keeping me from needing a sub even while being underpowered without an amp.

These things are great, but if you are not going to get at LEAST a 400w 4way compact amp then you wont get your moneys worth. I ran a 600w kenwood to these and some polks and they hit as hard as the 10inch type R for mid bass. The tweeters are lacking in my opinion for the price thuse 3 stars

They rock

Great sounding passive speakers no distortion at any volumes. Got them hooked to a 60w rockfos amp and they make me tickle in all the right places .

I finally got them installed; really rich mid-bass and soft highs. Better than speakers I've owned at twice the price.
