Nice. Keeps smell in and onion fresh quite a while. Works nice for me since I'm the only one who eats onion.

Great idea for storing onions
We've had one for several years now and it was great for keeping the onion fresh longer and it didn't stink up the refrigerator. Problem was it became increasingly harder and harder to open it. So I figured just buy a new one for six dollars and be done with it. When the new one came I tried it and it wasn't any easier to open than the old one. Then it hit me, why don't you put some vegetable oil around the little plastic pieces that stick out and makes it lock closed. Well it worked like a champ. I even put oil on the new one and that works better too.

Works great at keeping onion smell within the container.
I had one of these previously for many years. After one to many drops it cracked beyond use. It keeps onion smell from smelling up the refrigerator. I have kept whole, sliced and diced onions in the container and does a great job.

Good Idea, Quality Material, but Large and Hard to Open
I have a lot of these Hutzler fruit and vegetable savers. Some are easier to open than others. This one is probably the most difficult for me to open so far. It's made of good quality material but has a very slick surface. It also seemed to be "off track" when it arrived. I had to dampen it to get it open. Once I had it open, I paid close attention to closing it the "right" way, meaning making sure the grooves were on track. After that, it opened more easily each time. I find it kind of finicky because if it is not on track when it's closed, it's really hard to reopen. I don't want to have to put that much thought into closing something. It's also much larger than I expected, almost too large in my opinion. I will keep it because I want to see how well it contains the onion odor and if it keeps them fresh longer than a ziploc bag.

Great and very useful invention!
Great invention to keep a cut onion fresher for longer and stop the odour from going through the entire fridge. I also love how the Onion Saver doesn't taint my onion and give it a weird taste. I highly recommend it!
