The worst collagen
The worst collagen , From my experience, I do not advise anyone to use it. Its ingredients are harmful to health, cause irregular sleep, and cause fatigue and insomnia.

A good supplement!
After getting lost down "t'internet" research rabbit hole for far too long, I'd had enough... so I just ordered this Wellgard Gold Standard. It had good reviews regarding joint improvement, gave realistic timescales to see improvement and was reasonably priced. I've been taking this daily (either in my morning coffee or in my nutrition shake) and I actually started to see some improvement within a week! I injured my shoulder about 5 years ago, that physio and deep tissue massage had not been able to fully repair and has been causing me pain for the last 2 years. That was where I saw the quickest improvement... not a magic wand, but a difference. Then I started to notice a reduction in hip pain in the morning. 6 weeks on and the overall joint improvement continues. I havent noticed any difference with skin and hair, but as I have very thick, 'fast growing' hair anyway, I cant say I haven't paid any attention to that. This has definitely been a good addition for perimenopause

Worth a try .
I have been ordering this for 3 yrs . It’s no miracle cure but it has definitely helped my osteoarthritic knee . It has also helped hair growth but not made the hair any thicker . It has increased facial hair growth !. My skin hasn’t looked better but hasn’t looked any worse . Ive stopped taking it for a few months and my knee pain returned. I think it takes a long time to be absorbed and show results but if you stick with it there are some benefits . I always mix it with warm water to dissolve it quickly and find the taste ok but not over pleasant . I have 2 tablespoons a day after food .

**8.4/10 It is a Clean & Consistent, Semi-Fine Powder that Blends Well with Smoothies...**
This product does in-fact have no real 'taste' or flavour-changing properties when blended-in with my smoothie batches. It is a semi-fine powder that mixes/dissolves exceptionally well, leaving no clumps behind. As for the health benefits... that is something which is hard to measure - somewhat contestable; usually over long, extended periods of consistent use would yield partially 'noticeable' results, that would also effectively be, for the most part, undetectable, as gradual change makes the human experience of 'being' & the state of welfare relatively 'blind' to such minor alterations in well-being... That being said, after repeated, daily use, I can report that there has been a very slight improvement to my general skin & hair health, but, that could possibly be a coincidence, as this can fluctuate at an unexpected and totally random & alarming rate! (From approximately 1-day, to 9-months). With that in mind, my skin health is always inconsistent and considerably hard to maintain in specific areas from head-to-toe, so that makes it almost impossible to predict or even justify a cause for 'better' health... But, as aforementioned, I can, as a whole (generally speaking), say that there is an overall improvement in my skin + hair health, so would, based on the facts/studies surrounding Collagen use, be able to determine that it does (kind of) work(?)… it would however, need to be continually used regularly, for many more months to come, before I could definitively measure it's efficacy. When I first started using it, I did notice a strange feeling/effect(?) - it was similar to when you take certain medicines and have that pharmaceutical 'hangover' with the odd-tasting/metallic-tasting tongue accompanied by a weird sensation in the back of the throat... But, I can not say for absolute certain if it was due to the use of this product, although, process of elimination put it (logically) down to 1-of-2 ingredients, the other being Creatine, which I had a very long break from but have NEVER experienced 'that' with the use of Creatine, so my next, conscious 'source', would be this Collagen powder, but that is NOT definitive proof and can NOT be taken as a certainty... Again, this is also something that is relatively difficult to measure/test-for, as it can commonly be a 'one-time' experience, or a completely separate/benign cause that may well be a result from a number of various reasons/factors... Nonetheless, it is no cause for alarm and it was only but a brief event that gradually subsided over approximately 12-hours and it was not unbearable or intense, just a minor discrepancy between some biological factors. I can say, that, as far as I am concerned with the quality of Collagen powders... I would personally feel reasonably comfortable only using THIS specific version - it seems to be of much better quality that is far superior to other brands I have tried in the distant past. There appears to be less inconsistencies with this particular powder and I feel much safer using this brands' product; that being said, I will most likely continue purchasing from this seller, as far as I am concerned, as it's certainly one that I 'feel' I can trust. The ingredients are a positive-reinforcement for the beneficial beliefs...

Great value collagen
I have been using hydrolysed collagen peptide products for general joint and skin maintenance, rather than to treat any specific problem. Hence I haven't given a pain relief rating. There are a large number of brands currently on the market of which I've tried more than half a dozen now. Maybe a number of them are actually sourced from the same production lines and only differ in their packaging and branding. There doesn't seem to be a vast degree of difference in the products or their amino acid profiles. The price certainly varies considerably but the consumer experience rather less so. The big brand American imports are expensive and not noticeably better than UK or European sourced collagen products. I guess you pay a premium for their research and the importation shipping costs. Although all brands make a point about being unflavoured or having a 'neutral' taste, its fair to say that they all do have that characteristic slightly stale bovine collagen taste to at least some degree. The very nature of the product presumably makes that unavoidable. The Wellgard is 'OK' in that respect - its not my absolute favourite tasting brand, but certainly tastes no worse than most others I've tried, and seems to dissolve just as easily. In most flavoured drinks, such as coffee for instance, you really don't notice the collagen taste anyway. In terms of clinical efficacy, it seems unlikely that there would be a great deal of difference between the competing brands, so whether or not Wellgard's product actually works any better because of its slightly different amino profile is anyone's guess. However the obvious advantage lies in that it is a well packaged, well presented product coming from the UK, and offers much better value for money than comparable brands imported from overseas.
