This thing works
Works as described. Iโve used it a while and itโs been great. It doesnโt help convert negatives to color. You could maybe do the manual colors and get it working but thatโs a lot I donโt know. But if you plan to transfer to computer itโs great. It has adjustments in the manual slide holder. Then use the computer to conver and turn the right direction. It has manual direction changers but itโs better to post in computer. This is the one to buy. And buy the slide holders extra for slides. It holds on the right position to center to take the photos. The SD works great and then transfer is easy to computer. Good quality as well. Feels solid. Sturdy and stays where you put it. It also doesnโt bump easy. Easy on and off. Easy to get through the menu. Will make these slides easy to convert. Have thousands to do. Edit. This thing does so much more. The setting is where itโs at. Had to find them but when I got it right it will do a lot of things. No need for external software. Just took me a while to learn the machine. It will convert to negative as well so if ya have slides you can convert. Did the first 1000 slides to negative and back. Before I found the right setting to just project. :) great unit.

Better results than expected
It took some time to get a flow going, but after some trial and error scanning my 35mm slides proved to be enjoyable and worthwhile. I had low expectations for my old Super 8 Sound movies. The machine can only take still images of single frames (JPEG) and I figured the process would be cumbersome. I also thought the quality would be terrible, given the small frame size of a Super 8 film. Again, it took time to get the process figured out, but I was able to grab some amazing images of family and pets. The originals were from the early 70s and had suffered some minor damage so I was particularly impressed that I was able to recover what I could and with good quality. The image I uploaded was taken from a damaged roll of Super 8 film 50 years old. There are more expensive options out there with larger screens and more features, but this one worked perfectly for my needs. Based on my experience so far, I'd recommend this product.

Good quality and easy to use
The main thing to like is the quality of the conversions from 35mm slides and negatives. I was pleasantly surprised at the sharpness and detail of my old photography from years ago. It is easy to use once you understand the interface. I scan a number of images to an SD card, then pull it out and input it into my desktop. A couple things would have made this 5-stars. The buttons are too noisy when pressed. Also I wish that I could have ordered it with one slide holder and one negative strip hold instead of getting three of one kind only. Finally more control of color, contrast, and brightness would be nice; the range is too limited.

Got the job done!
It was very easy to use, and the ability to enhance somewhat the colour balance and brightness helped. The only down side is that trying to open the slide holders was quite difficult - have to use my thumb nails, and sometimes the units slip and toss my slides on the floor. A minor detail though. I bought two extra slide holders and that made the task a bit quicker. It only scanned about 20 slides before filling its memory. I uploaded directly to the computer, which was super easy. Ideal for non-professionals.

Easy to use.
Easy to use. Quality is very good. I am still scanning old family negatives and slides.
