Next best thing
Can't afford a laminar flow hood? This is the next best thing. Used mine maybe 4 times, consisting of about 32 mason jars and 32 mushroom bags and never had any contamination yet.

Light weight and compact, good for beginners
I’ve been getting into tissue culture but i don’t want to invest in a laminar flow hood yet. As a beginner, this serve my purpose perfectly. I like that you can just fold it up and pack it away. Which save a lot of space. And it does a good job at preventing contaminating from getting in. This is good for the price. Very easy to assemble and pack away.

I am NOT buying an airflow hood...
Alright, fellow mushroom maestro, let's get one thing straight: I am NOT buying an airflow hood. I am NOT building an airflow hood. And you can bet your last spore that I'm NOT risking a few hundred bucks and a dozen hours trying to MacGyver my way through a dusty DIY project. Nope, not my jam.Enter the still air box – my new secret weapon. It's like the superhero sidekick I never knew I needed, and it comes at a price that didn't make my wallet cry. It's like the trusty sidekick that Batman never had – affordable and dependable. Now, let's talk about packing this thing back into its carrying case. It's like trying to fit a giraffe into a Mini Cooper. It's just not happening, folks. The zipper? Well, it gave up the ghost faster than a teenager's New Year's resolution. And those flimsy carrying straps? They waved the white flag of surrender. So, here's my genius tip: Get yourself a good ol' 99-cent reusable grocery bag. You know, the kind that's seen more groceries than you've seen mushrooms. Stuff that still air box in there, and you're good to go! It's not rocket science; it's just common sense. In conclusion, the still air box is the unsung hero of my mushroom-growing journey. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done without breaking the bank or my patience. So, if you're like me and want to keep your sanity intact while taming the fungal frontier, this is your trusty sidekick. No DIY disasters, no broken zippers, just mushroom magic!

Not a bad low cost option
If your in a budget and need a decent SAB. This isn’t a bad option at all. The plastic as a few wrinkles but I can do what I bought it for. So far no issues.Update: this thing is still holding up and doing what I need it to do. Only thing so far is a small tear in one of the arm holes. Other than that I’m digging it. I’ve had it set up and haven’t moved it from its spot. Other than moving it to clean. Just keep it clean and get your work done.

Doesn’t take a lot of space to store
Had I paid more for it I would have only given it four stars but for the price it’s a good deal. As others have stated it’s a bit tricky to get folded up and stored in the provided storage bag. You don’t need to be an origami master but you do have to very carefully watch the video on folding it back up.

Haven't had any contamination yet
I use this to do grain to grain mushroom transfers and havent had any contamination at all. Wish it was a little sturdier when partially unzipped but when zipped it is fine. Nice big working area!
