Pokémon is my always. And yes, I’m disappointed about SV, but acquire the expansion it’s just for collecting the new paradox Pokémon.

I was initially super hesitant to buy the DLC but obviously caved pretty quickly. Definitely worth it, I have had so much fun in the Kitakami region and have fallen in love with the new Pokémon even though there is not a lot.The story is pretty fun and I definitely appreciate that it is not super handholdy. It lets you go and explore as you please and rarely makes you do a part of the story if you aren’t interested in doing it at the moment.My only real complaint is just how whiny the little brother is, I get it you like the ogre. Seems like any inconvenience sets the kid off and he goes running. However even he’s not all bad and does have some cool moments in the story.

Part 1 you can do almost immediately after starting the game, and it even if you start it later, the battles and wild spawns scale to about where you currently are in the main story. The story itself is fun and focuses on friendships just like the main game, but with a new cast of characters and even has a neat twist that I won't spoil.Part 2? Phenomenal, it was the first time since gen 4 that I've felt like there was actually a rival that I couldn't wait to battle over and over. Story wise it was well done and introduced a Pokemon that lore wise is crazy overpowered, and the bio-dome has been great for catching regionals and starters in their shiny forms.Loved these DLCs, recommend them to the grinders and story enjoyers, however it falls short for one reason just like the main game: Legendaries are shiny locked.Even the DLC for Sword and Shield allowed players to shiny hunt legendaries and they had events for the 3 main game ones, however in Scarlet and Violet every single legendary is shiny-locked and we've still yet to see an event that brings in the shiny form of any of Gen 9 legends.
