You get what you pay for.
I wasn't expecting much for £2 and I wasn't disappointed. Catch was roughly fashioned, stiff, and the rivet through the catch was badly driven. When the bar was fitted so it was flush to the catch, it didn't lock. If you don't mind some bending you can probably make it work. It's cheap as chips but as there's not much to go wrong with it, once you get it working it'll probably last.

Easy 2 fit , & works a treat . Kids now fighting 2 open & close the gate . Lol

In-expensive gate catch that works well
If you need an in-expensive gate catch / latch, this one works well.Based on installing and using it for a week, I think it is good value.
